Amazon always tells you when a review comes up that isn't for the exact item you're looking at. Many reviews for "Big Blockbuster Movie" will apply whether you're interested in buying the DVD, BluRay, or 4 Disk DVD Ultra Super edition. Usually I'm interested in if the movie itself is good, not so much in the special features
If a review comes from the BluRay version, and starts going off about bad special features, I'll be sure to check whether those special features exist on the version I'm interested in.
And yes, I'd be happy to read a review from someone who bought the DVD at Best Buy. I don't see why I'd want to ignore those just because I'm buying from Amazon. Most products dont' have Amazon-edition and Best Buy-edition
Did the bad reviews of Spore form people who didn't play make up game-play complaints? Or were they just complaining about the DRM. If they were just complaining about the DRM, they're fine reviews. They don't tell you anything about the gameplay, but they say something about the product. You can't just look at the numbers, you need to actually read the bad reviews to see if the "bad" applies to you.
Hopefully they'll use their editorial powers to say. "You know... your app... it's just a magazine. There are several other formats you could distribute this in that don't require their own application. We can't have that in our App Store."
I prefer language to be understandable in both its written and spoken forms. Asus' may show the possessive form when written down, but spoken you lose that information. Asus's is clearly possessive in both written and spoken form. I also think Asus's looks better.
Are there shortages? If not, then every kinect sold for use beyond an x-box is still a profit, even if it's small. I don't see why they would want to turn down the smaller profits if they're not taking away form the larger profits.
Movie ads before the movie are fine, I like to know what else is coming out soon. What bugs me are the ***LOUD*** ads for everything else they play before the trailers. It's just amazing how much they YELL at you about the newest mobile phone that you need. I miss the days when they'd just have the slideshow and quiet music before the trailers.
There's nothing like going to the Twilight movies on opening night (hey, it keeps the girly happy). Just listen to all the Wooo! every time Jacob takes his shirt off, or Edward does anything at all.
I was taught this 15 years ago in High School math class (or was it 20 years ago in Algebra...), and it wasn't even close to new back then. Are we going to see slashdot stories talking about a wondrous proof about the relationship between the sides of a right triangle and its hypotenuse?
You'd think Avatar, the movie that started the latest round of 3D interest, would have been the first on their list of priorities (but I can see why they thought Step Up 3D was more important...)
You will have to buy 4 or 5 pairs of glasses, 2 of which will immediately be lost by your children and you'll have to buy another 2... I have enough trouble hunting for remote controls on a daily basis.
Considering the source, I'd say the sentence is very well written, as "the wrong idea" is exactly what they were trying to get across, without actually lying.
I always expected Harrison Ford to show up in one of the prequels playing Han Solo's grandfather. I'm not sure whether the idea excited or terrified me. But in general I got sick of Lucas sticking in every single possible connection between the two trilogies he could think of.
What extra shame are you talking about? He defended his failure to change his password by saying he never even thought someone would do this to him. He perhaps exaggerated a bit to suggest that no one would ever think of that. He compared it to his worse nightmares, which seems like a reasonable comparison. Is it "stoop" that you object to? Really, the last thing Weiner has to worry about is his victim telling the public "He did a horrible thing to me."
But nobody uses Rankine for anything. If you're going to use a measure that the target audience doesn't know, you might as well use the one that's appropriate for the field (Kelvin).

You have the option of legally paying for the song and downloading it from iTunes. Why do you have to be a thief and copy it from your CD?
I store my data in the back of a hummer. And yes, the hummer, and the disks, are both painted green. I'm doing my part!

If he objects to the things he's asked to do on the job, he should quit. He doesn't have to work for the TSA.
I still don't see where all that translates to, "We must award the plaintiff more than the defendant will make the rest of her life."

The kind that Microsoft paid for, not Apple, obviously. Gotta pony up if you want legal protection.

The TSA would probably detain you if a "Terrorist" facebook group had a member with the same name as you.
Soon you'll be able to distinguish a bot from a person because only a bot will be able to read the CAPTCHA.

With the MTA reducing service and jacking up fare prices, NYC has better places to spend transportation dollars too.

So did you sue for breach of contract? Or was there a "no watching Fox news" clause in the contract?

Sounds like Facebook is actually a good thing here. If she hadn't made her post, her impartiality wouldn't have been made visible.
I preferred Pascal's way. Assignment is :=, the naked equals sign retains its identity as an equality check.
