You remember everything we thought you about strangers, and how you never have to let them touch you in ways you feel uncomfortable about. None of that matters any more when you're flying.

Response from TSA: Blah blah blah, procedures, blah blah blah, terrorists. The little girl violated our procedures because she was scared, therefore we MUST subject her to more terrifying treatment. Honestly surprised that the mother who walked past the TSA agent to try to calm her daughter was not arrested for her suspicious behavior.

For software, what you buy is a license and the ability to install the software, and that is what you can resell. Due to the first sale doctrine, the license cannot disallow resale (a clause "you may install this software on one, and only one, computer owned by the original purchaser of the license" would be invalid). There are certain other things that a software license cannot disallow, but most license restrictions have regularly been upheld in court.

Yes, you know it's a license because they present you with a license to sign when you pick it up at the store, and correct you when you say you want to buy the game. What? That doesn't happen? That's because you are BUYING the game, just like you buy a book.

No, if they'd produced his show for him. They wouldn't have made any money either. If they made money they'd have to pay him, so they'd insist to both Louis CK and the IRS that the show did not make any money whatsoever.

We should feel lucky that despite the fact that even the biggest blockbusters don't make money, all these media companies stay in the business and keep putting out movies and music for us. Less generous companies would look at all the money-losing movies and get into another line of business.

This is an unfortunate but understandable result. I kind of figure in this case the backers have to chalk it up to a failed investment and move on. They do deserve an update explaining the unplanned circumstances and apologizing.

But then there's cases where the promoters do all the hype, collect the money and then just skip out, with no intention of ever delivering. Don't know about this project, so can't say if that's the case here, Their lack of contact with their backers is a bad sign, but could just be the first case handled badly. The pictures of them on vacation right after funding ended could be a bad sign, or it could have just been intended as a joke.
