I switched to dvorak about 5 years ago with a kenisis keyboard. I definately like it a lot better than querty...but I have no real problem switch between the two...as long as you go back to querty once in a while you should not have a problem. I would say that my querty speed has only dropped by about 20% and my dvorak speed is about 50% faster than my original querty speed. Just make sure you get used to the means to switch the layouts if you plan on playing games...I have to use querty to play WoW.

  15. Here's what I do... on Best Way To Manage Growing Console Clutter? · · Score: 2, Insightful

I currently have 17 console systems...all hooked up to the same tv.

I have a wall dedticated to the tv...with the tv in the center. I put a short shelving unit on each side of the tv and my speakers on the outside. I have a cloth tacked to the back of the shelving units so that you can't see any wires from the front. My wife hates wires so I have managed to not have a single wire visible...with the exception of in-use controllers of course.

To hook them all up to the tv I have one "Parent" switch box with several "Child" switch boxes off of that. I have all my systems and switch boxes labeled very clearly so visitors know what to push to get the system they want.

For storage of controllers etc...I picked up several small plastic baskets for about $1.50 each at Target. Each basket is big enough to hold all the accessories for at least one system. I stack all the baskets on a shelf in my closet.

For power...this is the hard one...I am currently using 6 power strips...but this is something I'm fixing right now. I just picked up the supplies to make my own 60 outlet power strip. Along with the 17 systems I also have 2 computers, the tv, couple dvd players, stero, etc...

This all makes for a very clean and easy to use setup...just don't look behind the tv :)

It is a very easy, freindly, and fast platform. I have always felt that Macs are best for people that are new to computers...and with the increased flexibility of OS-X...now the computer can really grow with the users knowledge. I am already going to be buying my child an iBook for X-Mas.

  17. The worst part on Argonaut's Malice, Orchid Cancelled · · Score: 4, Insightful

I think the worst part of this is:

"A lesser but still unfortunate footnote to these events is the retail failure of Kung Fu Chaos, the quirky Xbox title which was developed by Argonaut's Just Add Monsters studio and published by Microsoft. Although it received significant critical acclaim, the game simply didn't shift any units at retail, and as such Microsoft has not commissioned a sequel, leaving Just Add Monsters working on a new game instead."

Kung Fu Chaos is one of the best games I have ever played. And it's even more fun with a group of friends.

I assume by this comment that your WTB places a high value on the rings she gets out of the deal. If she is truly the right woman for you...she wouldn't care how good the ring was...because it's just a thing...it's not important...the commitment to each other is the important thing.
