If there were to be a Woodstock today... ... there would be 100k kids on e and crystal meth bouncing around to mostly shit music punctuated by about 1 or 2 acts that are worthy of seeing.
What you are describing is cool, but more like a LUG meet on steroids:)
obviously commenting before having looked at the evidence at hand. (A VERY common occurrence with people who get rude so quickly). not trying to be rude, but you may not be aware of this earlier offer from Dick Smith and Mr Randi ($40,000) for successful dowsers. Do I need to say that none of the 16 dowsers were able to claim the prize? Please point out any inherent unfairness in the test (it is described in detail).
are in ".doc" format files generated with Microsoft Wrod. Not so open source. not sure where you're looking, but these letter-cards are in PDF.
If there is stuff in Word format there, I guess someone is welcome to contribute by converting them to PDF.
It's not comparable at all. The geese willingly go to get themselves stuffed with food (google)...
AFAIK, plenty of people willingly queue up to supersize their meals and themselves. yes, McDonald's and Coca-Cola have made some really cool ads, but it isn't quite the same as force feeding.
And you, my friend, quite possibly did not get the subtle joke there. Or maybe you did. But probably not. "Life feeds on life. This is necessary." From Disgustipated (a song) by Tool (a musical troupe aka band).
no worse than chopping ... ?

Eh, no worse than chopping them into serving size pieces. Well, you can choose to believe that the deceased creature can feel this chopping. The rest of us will be over here in the Real-World(TM) wondering why anyone would tortuously force-feed a living creature to deliberately induce liver-disease so that some fat-rich arsehole can enjoy a plate of Foie Gras.
No, us Aussies are happily deep frying all sorts of foods too, largely with delicious results:) There's a shop at Bondi Beach that does deep-fried Mars Bars. Although wikipedia reckons that the Scots were doing this first.
When I was a kid I used to mix Coca-Cola with Mentos to make a great rocket fuel.
After hosing out the fire it was about five years before a tree would grow to replace the nearby tree that died. A couple of litres of Coke will do that.
if the government trusted the people. why should the government treat it's people any different from the way from the people treating the government?
What goes around, comes around. OK, I'm confused. Don't you guys, the shining light of Global Democracy, have a saying regarding governance "By the people, for the people"?
"Killing knowledge, one step at a time." Oh yeah, blame the government. Kids just aren't into boring stuff like chemistry, the political process or doing well at school these days. There's too much really fun stuff to get into, like spending hours tweaking their myspace page.</sarcasm>
As if the media wasn't doing a good enough job at pushing their anti-intellectual agenda, along come the military-industrial goons. Welcome to the New Dark Age.
... I've seen plenty of pr0nstar bio's queued for deletion just because they were too short Funny huh? A pr0nstar with a short article on wikipedia?
Hang on, by "article" are you perhance refereeing to the dangling participle or his misplaced modifier?
As for TAF, it is completley ignotable. Dido kdawson.
it even has top pagerank on Google. I can detect your sarcasm, but everyone knows that Google's pagerank is levered towards advertising revenue rather than good sources of info.
The only thing that keeps me (occasionally) booting into my Windows partition is when I need to locate a CD/DVD using the Disc Stakka. SourceForge has a project in pre-alpha that hasn't been touched since April 2006. This is a great product but for this one limitation.
...shes a Psyc student, published a couple papers. Seriously, thats enough to make the geek list? I've had a couple of letters published in the newspaper - does that make me a journalist?
(forgive me if I'm not the first to bring this up):... Open source is good because it's open, not because it's free. That is an important distinction to make. not the first, but you raise a good point. Alternative terms for free software
I don't see any troll here. Give the guy a break, he's being sincere with his opinion: Did you just reply to yourself, so you could say you don't see yourself trolling?
Pure gold! He replies to himself asking the mods to "give the guy a break". Its nearly the end of the year, surely there is some award we can nominate this for? Get a sock-puppet or post in a calmer state or something.
