    obviously commenting before having looked at the evidence at hand. (A VERY common occurrence with people who get rude so quickly). not trying to be rude, but you may not be aware of this earlier offer from Dick Smith and Mr Randi ($40,000) for successful dowsers. Do I need to say that none of the 16 dowsers were able to claim the prize? Please point out any inherent unfairness in the test (it is described in detail).

    are in ".doc" format files generated with Microsoft Wrod. Not so open source. not sure where you're looking, but these letter-cards are in PDF.
    If there is stuff in Word format there, I guess someone is welcome to contribute by converting them to PDF.

    It's not comparable at all. The geese willingly go to get themselves stuffed with food (google)... AFAIK, plenty of people willingly queue up to supersize their meals and themselves. yes, McDonald's and Coca-Cola have made some really cool ads, but it isn't quite the same as force feeding.

    No, us Aussies are happily deep frying all sorts of foods too, largely with delicious results :) There's a shop at Bondi Beach that does deep-fried Mars Bars. Although wikipedia reckons that the Scots were doing this first.

    When I was a kid I used to mix Coca-Cola with Mentos to make a great rocket fuel.

    After hosing out the fire it was about five years before a tree would grow to replace the nearby tree that died. A couple of litres of Coke will do that.

    The only thing that keeps me (occasionally) booting into my Windows partition is when I need to locate a CD/DVD using the Disc Stakka. SourceForge has a project in pre-alpha that hasn't been touched since April 2006. This is a great product but for this one limitation.
