I'll still never get why everyone wants the pistol back after it being so unbalanced in Halo 1
Because that weapon was a great equalizer to heavy weapons like Rocket Launchers and Fuel Rod Cannons. If that pistol was in Halo 2, I would die a lot less because of the sword because I would be able to kill the swordguy before he got to me. With the Halo 2 Battle Rifle, I can't pull of the shots fast enough to kill the swordguy. The pistol in Halo 1 makes the game a first person shooter (not a first person sprayer or first person blaster).
Conversely, you can kill someone with three pulls of the trigger with a battle rifle if they're all headshots, although it simply takes a bit longer since each pull is a three shot burst.
Actually, it takes 4 shots with the last one being on the head which is quite a bit of difference between the time it took to fire 3 shots with the Halo 1 pistol.
"But I've watched enough 24 to know that the Big Disaster can only happen at the top of the hour. If you survive to 1:01 you're good for another hour!"
Hate to break it to you, bud...but God has a TiVo.
Isn't Halo 2 for PC being exclusive for Vista kind of like Halo 3 being exclusive to the XBOX 360? One isn't going to run on XP. The other isn't going to run on the first-gen XBOX.
I agree. I'd like to play NSMB on a larger screen. At first I thought that a Gamecube/Wii version would be the way to go. But as I think about it, I'd settle for "video-out" of the DS onto a larger screen. Hmm. What if all future consoles were handhelds (i.e. portable)? A console is a console because of the TV. I mean, the PSP is just as powerful as last-gen systems. But, I guess next-gen hardware is always clunky and needs to be put into a larger box.
BTW: I've never owned a handheld gaming device in my life. But, I played the junk out of SMB3 on my NES. I've been waiting a long time for a side scrolling Mario Bro. game. I have NSMB bought. I'm waiting for the Nintendo DS Lite to be released in the US in 2 weeks.
I bet they'd have 40 million downloads if the user interface was easier to use. Sitting there waiting for a slow download of a 100Mb file is discouraging. It's hard for them to keep be on the download screen. I'd rather quit of the download and do something. That's why I'm using my 360 anyway...to be entertained - not to watch a slow progress bar.
With MS's demonstrated "Live Anywhere" service, jumping ship to XBOX development is almost the same as jumping ship to XBOX and PC development. Not quite. But, MS's goal is to make developing for the XBOX a lot like developing for the PC - and making both interoperable. They have already demonstrated how an XBOX gamer can play in the same game with a PC gamer. Other the development end, a lot of the XBOX 360 code can be used to create the PC version of the game (and visa versa).
It seems developing for the XBOX 360 kills 2 gamers with 1 stone.
And Logitech is promoting using this keyboard with WoW:
"The 18 programmable "G Keys" allow you to execute macros--like casting spells in World of Warcraft--with a single button press, and the backlit keys are great for lights-out play. The G15 also features a switch that turns off the 'Windows' key, so hitting that button accidentally won't end your game."
The Logitech G15 keyboard is great. Besides it having a cool and hackable LCD monitor on the top of the keyboard, or backlit keys, it has programmable "G" keys.
If you admin a public gaming server, you'll find the programmable keys very helpful. You can easily execute RCON functions with the pressing of a key. I've got my favorite maps and gametypes mapped to G keys (as well as the boot player X screen).:)
It's Blu-Ray. The letter "e" was intentionally left out of the name to allow trademarking, as the term "blue ray" is a commonly used phrase and can't be registered as a trademark. Thanks http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blu-ray_Disc.
I think you mean: http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1697,2021888 ,00.asp
n00b!
COMPLETELY Fanless and Silent: http://www.voodoopc.com/system/quotekitchen.aspx?p roductID=1048
Still expensive, though.
FYI: The Dell 3007WFP supports WQXGA (2560x1600) resolution.
Until next year, we'll be celebrating Download Like a Pirate Day. Arrr.
That's odd. When I found the shipment there were only 11,999 black DS Lites in there.
1. Get paid $1/day of development.
2. Take forever to develop the game.
3. Profit !!!!
"anyone need a bilingual CSS coder?"
Maybe.
"I'd use the Page Creator"
Hrmm. Nevermind.
So, if you play a song in the forest and it makes several echos, did the RIAA ever really hear the song?

Hmm. The both of you don't know the difference between Bungie and bungee. Looks like the joke is on you.
You didn't RTFA. This is NEW info...

Ever heard of HALO for PC/MAC? Also, HALO 2 is headed toward Windows Vista.
The point is that you CAN play HALO on the PC/MAC. You will eventually be able to play HALO 2 on the PC (and likely the MAC).
So, you can't complain about not being able to play HALO with a keyboard and mouse.

Isn't that called MySpace?
Actually, it has been confirmed that Microsoft used the FAT360 file system.
Although I have purchased and received my XBOX 360, I can not play it...
because my wife plays XBOX Live Arcade all day long. (She's getting good at Hexic HD.)
Because it exists, maybe?
