Yes, they do. I've been to the CPL to watch them play. Most FPS gamers at the CPL use the standard WASD. As a matter of fact, I've won at CPL using WASD to play HALO.
I knew my keyboard well enough that I didn't need a "divit" to orient my fingers. Come on. A good piano player doesn't need a "divit" to find keys on the piano.
However as you were suggesting, a keyboard and mouse does have many advantages over a standard console control. Simply put, the console controllers aren't made with buttons that can be used by 8 or more fingers. Keyboards and 5,6,7-button mice leave you wishing you had extra fingers to issue more commands.
If a video really becomes that popular, Google should automatically implement a revenue sharing model on that video, where Google gets reimbursed for the bandwidth and the publisher would get his fair cut.

What IF Google IS going to give GMAIL users 2GB of storage? Would be a neat way to one-up Yahoo! who recently announced that they will be offering 1GB of email storage. I have to admit, the only reason I am a GMAIL user is because of the storage capacity. Why would I want to stay with beta GMAIL when I could have a much richer web-based email at Yahoo! with the same capacity?

This is machinima, not some production made by 3d animation software like Maya, 3dsmax, and Lightwave. There're huge differences. The best 3d game engines can't come close to rendering graphics as realistic and convincing as a ordinary 3d environment render. Performance of a 3d game engine is measured in "frames per second". Sometimes a single from the 3dsmax render and other renders like Brazil, MentalRay, and Vray will take days to render.

devs. The "EditCSS" extension is cool because you can run your own CSS on other
people's websites (make Slashdot fit your blog theme). Oh, and the Mozilla Google
Toolbar for Firefox is a "must install". (I also install the Google bar for

extra and powerful control of XP. Basically, it allows you to make some neat
changes to your Registry that allows for increased productivity and usability.

5. Winamp5 - Light-weight MP3 player. Also play other media formats both audio
and video. Skinnable, scalable, dockable, and extendable. I use only this program
to playback MP3's. I like docking my Winamp screen at the bottom of my monitor.

I've never heard of that software. What makes this newsworthy is that I (and a lot of people around me) know (and probably use) Winamp.
