Exactly, our IT department thought they would switch to TS servers so they would only have to patch 1 machine with the latest graphics drivers to play UT 2004. Boy were they wrong, imagine office productivity with 35 cubicles trying to protect the flag at 1 frame per second.

The next place I worked at wanted to move their base application to a centralized server so they could use their desktops for distributed rendering. Well the rendering was going quickly but nobody could use it fast enough to create any animation, poor Shrek was limping in his animation.

It's also not the target demographic of XBox. It would compete with the Windows Media Center PCs, and gets away from the idea of XBox as a gaming platform. More importantly, if Microsoft were to release a supported XBMC-like application for XBox, you and everyone else here would be screaming foul, saying that Microsoft is trying to leverage their weight to take over your living room.

Interesting... when microsoft releases media center extenders for xbox you will think that they are copying from xbmc. When xbmc looks a hell of a lot like xp media center.

Xbox media center, the real one.

Go up a few, there is nothing interesting here. If you do mod this, what will the meta's think? It would be best if you just moved along. Or if you were really desparate to drop a point. Make it a funny, yea. Thats right. Turn that mod frown upside down. Consider the moderator, and while your doing that i'll be over here, looking through your journal entry.
