Exactly, our IT department thought they would switch to TS servers so they would only have to patch 1 machine with the latest graphics drivers to play UT 2004. Boy were they wrong, imagine office productivity with 35 cubicles trying to protect the flag at 1 frame per second.
The next place I worked at wanted to move their base application to a centralized server so they could use their desktops for distributed rendering. Well the rendering was going quickly but nobody could use it fast enough to create any animation, poor Shrek was limping in his animation.
What? Where? Thats insane. Are you talking about a Java applet? Who the hell? How is that even possible. Please I must know what software runs like this.
"Since the Ipods are soo dang hot right now we want to keep them the hell away from our personal computer division before they screw it up. Frankly they do good work most of the time but right when they have a good thing going they always like to dick with it and piss people off."
oh no no no, I _really_ googled and found that microsoft had negotiated the licensing to $6 for the CPU $3 for the GPU and ONE BILLION DOLLARS for all DVD's.
Frankly my point is nobody should belive you even if you sound reasonable. Post some links for legitimacy, otherwise... I have been trolled.
It's also not the target demographic of XBox. It would compete with the Windows Media Center PCs, and gets away from the idea of XBox as a gaming platform. More importantly, if Microsoft were to release a supported XBMC-like application for XBox, you and everyone else here would be screaming foul, saying that Microsoft is trying to leverage their weight to take over your living room.
Interesting... when microsoft releases media center extenders for xbox you will think that they are copying from xbmc. When xbmc looks a hell of a lot like xp media center.
No one said he belived he was doing anything legal. He could have assumed it was from a closed beta test that would not be mentioned on the website or freely avalable.

the flamebait moderation should warn me... but I can't help it. I wont respond to you though... All I have to say is:
"I bought google stock and all I got was this lousy gig of email."
Don't worry about the Offtopic mod. I meta-modded it unfair! ha ha!
Is my post offtopic? or are you wasting mod points by chasing this white rabbit? where will it go? What are you doing this far down a thread anyways? Go up a few, there is nothing interesting here. If you do mod this, what will the meta's think? It would be best if you just moved along. Or if you were really desparate to drop a point. Make it a funny, yea. Thats right. Turn that mod frown upside down. Consider the moderator, and while your doing that i'll be over here, looking through your journal entry.
The endometrial cavity is opened to reveal lush fronds of hyperplastic endometrium. Endometrial hyperplasia usually results with conditions of prolonged estrogen excess and can lead to metrorrhagia (uterine bleeding at irregular intervals), menorrhagia (excessive bleeding with menstrual periods), or menometrorrhagia.
who writes this stuff?
edgar allan poe would be proud...
The raven sat perched upon the irregular mass in the upper fundus that proved to be endometrial adenocarcinoma on biopsy. Quote the raven "Thus, any postmenopausal bleeding should make you suspect that this lesion may be present."
I am running around the office screaming like a girl right now.
This is a good thing.
We use smartphones at our work and do alot of house calls where are clients would always have highspeed internet with avalable wireless but not always cell service.
I agree, I'm normally a technology first environment later but lets clean up chernobyl. Then we can consider if we are responsible enough to dick around with radiation in space. Frankly so far, i'm not impressed.
Yea, I admit I will watch a commercial if its the first time i've seen it and its not for drugs, cars or pet food (those are pretty easy to spot in the first few miliseconds).
Tivo did actully have a thumbs up feature during a commercial for a tv show, press thumbs up to schedule it to be recorded, I was so excited I pressed thumbs up even though I was already scheduled to record it! I've only seen that once though, I think its alot better feature then the "let us guess what you might like".
Paying for the servers?
More like pining for the fjords.
For 15 bucks a month i'd expect to be able to run the game via metaframe.
Can you belive mmrpgs for xbox? the anual fee for xbox live, plus a monthly fee from the mmrpg, consider your dsl cost and you can finance a used car!

Xbox media center, the real one.

How about the fact that they are lossy?
BMP and WAV would have been much better. When you talking about making a standard you should be carefull in your choice of words.

is GPRS open? For example could I get a radio server, set it on my roof and make cell phone calls through my home phone line?
Imagine everyone who has free wifi giving out free cellphone service using their vonage account.
classic as in vb6 codebase.
not everyone is interested in making first post.

awww, I love trade wars!
"Captain Jvert is attacking with 100,000,000 fighters!"
But personally I just like trading.
Which reminds me... there was no tax in tradewars... maybe thats why it was so fun...

I tried to moderate you as -1 Terrorist but all I could see was -1 Hippy.
I wanted to moderate you as -1 overrated. But the funny option isn't avalable when meta moderating. And THAT would be funny.

If were talking tech support then he would have better job security as a DJ.
