    People like to moderate insightfull instead of funny even when they mean funny because the funny moderation does not count towards the total karma tally of the poster. So if a poster is all about the funny and gets blasted a few times, +20 funny and -5 troll/overrated and you have yourself negative karma.

    I dont garantee any of this is accurate as far as how funny affects your karma vs other, its just what I heard and what people are doing about it.

    McDonalds currently has a pay to play wireless for laptops.

    If they would make it free I might actually go there and eat something while I surfed.

    When they tested the idea they gave you a printed access code with your happy meal that you could redeem for wireless time. But that was just too good of an idea I guess...

    Wasn't the ipod before the itunes store? I swore it took a while for ipod to become the portable music standard. Rio was king for a while, ivideo is the first move, these are still baby steps and I think apple knows what they are doing, they keep it fresh and extend the fad.

    Well, warcraft would be nice, oddly enough the game i'm looking to play would be guildwars. But uhh, yea, I dont think any graphics card would make guildwars run on the mac mini...

    I agree, the extra 32 mb ram seems critical to me for some limited gaming I would want from it. I was actually considering the mini today and brushed it off because of the video card alone.

    If the spreadsheets are stored on the google servers where they are easilly accessed by other coworkers...

    I'm tired of emailing my coworker a spreadsheet that is at a clients house, has to download the email open it, use it, close it, email it and hope I haven't done anything with it.

    Whatever. I wrote a big paragraph on the risk of staying vs leaving.

    It comes down to this. You have kids? Stay where you are at. As long as the company is not going to go under anytime soon its not worth putting your family through the stress of you working the ladder again.

    This is not a rule just an opion, responses to this can state their own opinion but cannot prove me wrong.

    We have that capability if the lawsuit seemed pointless. "frivilous lawsuit" I think is what its called where you can go back and recap the fee's for the previous lawsuit from the opponent. Not perfect but fair, imagine the 13 year old having to pay for the RIAA's attorney fee's...

    As soon as they gained victory over netscape their next plan of attack was to minimise the potential damage by web services. Their only solution was to break the standards so developers would have to choose sides or do mad trying to please both. Since they controlled the browser market anyone who chose standards over MS would obviously lose. If they created a web service for MS then there was no problem. MS is ready for thin clients, embeded devices, they would be on top of the next revolution. You can check your mail and file your taxes on your fridge, powerd by Microsoft.

    So it breaks down into a browser war again. He who controls the viewer controls the world.

    Third, you said fuck, but chickened out. You WANTED to say fuck. But your chicken shit HR side said no. Then the hr side completly took over and clicked the anon button so censoring fuck had absolutly no point.

    I thought for a minute maybe you were just uncomfortable with the word fuck. But then thought why would you feel obligated to use that word just to censor it.

    Parent is right. Its not about laws its about contract agreements. To get access to decode macrovision (which they were completly capable of doing on their own, but needed the license) they had to agree to abide by macrovisions terms.

    Its like someone buying a car, wanting to change their own brakes, but the physical proccess of replacing the brakes is copyrighted. So they contact the owners of the copyright and the owners agree to license the brake replacement technology. However vehicle owner must agree to only replace the brakes with a list of aproved brake pads. Or they will kill his familiy.

    And Dog.

    But the fish is underwater and is not subject to the same laws as our country.
