Open Source done right is always a win-win situation. Oh and Apache is a better quality product than IIS. Why would you go with something else I really don't know.

Now if the Apache foundation starts acting up and making demands, everyone will eventually dump Apache HTTP server and go with a fork.

I just did a technote on product activation for one of our products, and in it I said it will cause more problems than solve. Our product isn't consumer product so I asked why do it in the first place (may because it will costs 3-4 million to purchase, guessing here). Also told them that once it is out of our hands any determined individual can compromise our product by doing memory profiling.

Now I'm I going to make the decision to incorporate product activation in our product? No!!!!! The business people will make those decision.

Plus PS files are much bigger than PDF files. If you ever encounter a PS file bigger than 2048MB you are in deep dodo. Can't produce PDF files from it without having to split the PS file first then generate PDF files from it, then merge those PDF files. As you can see there lots of processing involved.

Our next system will generate PDF files from the onset. No middle man PS files. We will cut our production time from 6 days to 2 days.
