    The problem is the _other_ standard of DD/MM/YYYY which ISO is trying to overrule because it uses the european order of day and month rather than the american. By using different separators the two standards can be told apart.

    I've been told that the largest obstical for the Mac port is not porting widgets, but redesigning parts of the user-interface that requires a more _functional_ mouse.

    Exactly two cores on a single die is _better_ than SMT(aka. HyperThreading).

    In theory it is also more expensive to produce, but with the K7/K8 design, implementing a multicore cpu is just so much less R&D than implementing HyperThreading, that AMD might easily sell multicore-CPUs in direct competion with Intel HT chips.

    You can find the emails of most MEP easily. You only need to get through the usual secretary filter.

    I find radio-controlled clocks much more convinient. Not only are they as accurate as an atomic clock, but they also adjust automatically (and correctly) for daylight-savings.

    Yes, he has. He is presented with two dates. Obviously there are two possible facts. That is a lot more accurate (if indirect) representation of the situation than just using one year.

    EULA are not legally binding here (Denmark) anyway, unless I have signed it physically.

    If you have paid for it, you have a Windows version. Just copy IE from the "Program Files" folder there.

    What on earth are you talking about? All calls in Skype are encrypted, ASFAIK there is no way of turning it off.

    Currently it kicks major ass because of the echo-suppression and sound-quality.

    IMAP is typically used for online email storage the same way webmail is, that makes it much more natural to use together with gmail. POP3 is (typically) used for fetching email and storing them locally.

    Slavery, blacks: Slaves were freed by a Republican - Lincoln. Blacks were set free (civil rights) starting with Eisenhower sending in troops, another Republican. Eisenhower and Bush I were the only ones to appoint a black to the Supreme court - both Republican's. In short, Republican's have always helped blacks more than the Dem's. They only help if they have no choice (see Johnson and civil rights act notes, signed almost over his dead body). Welfare, food stamps, head start - Bob Dole bills - another Republican. The Dem's lie and say they did these things. The proof is in the written record, they didn't.

    Back then the Republicans were very liberal. In fact the most liberal party the US have ever had. Would you say they still are?

    I only have it from a discussion on several channels on election-night. They mentioned that early exit-polls usually favored the Republicans more than the final result.

    The Mozilla engine has always rendered slashdot differently and uglier than IE and Konqueror. It has been labelled WONTFIX many times.

    Overlapping text though seems to be a regression.

    The cool thing here, is that ATI is using PCI-Express to connect to the south-bridge, this means that it is replacable/upgradeble. In a few months time we can have third party south-bridges with better audio and SATA.
