    Very funny indeed! :-)
But seriously, adjusting Voice Recognition mode to 'programming' or better yet 'programming in C' could make it actually work.

Anybody remember the campus of a software company that had free medical (via on-site doctor) child care, membership in a health club, free food (all you can eat) soccer games, and the like?

Google seems to have all this stuff.

Does anyone know if their hand-writing recognition software is based on a dictionary? Just wondering whether it will be as good if I was writing in some other language, but using English letters.

Would this have been enough? Wouldn't the license require every product produced that includes the decoding modules be licensed? But then if this is the case, Sun could have just left it up to the people building the products. Just wondering. Hany

The major kill I guess for the tablet PCs is their price. Trying to jam all the processing, storage, memory etc. into a supposedly lightweight device is the problem. That's why I think Mira is going to have its advantage over this. It's a stripped version and should be expected to sell for $400, IIRC.

As for the hybrid design issue that you mentioned, here's the answer that Microsoft (with other vendors) have.

However, with Mira, it's not surprising that Microsoft still has that layer in the device that ties it to Windows (I think the device is supposed to run Windows CE.) Why can't it be completely dummy? Just an I/O display (that receives RGB or VGA signal) with touch screen, optional trackball and slim keyboard. That will make it cheaper and platform independent.

But if you let me use your same logic. When American policies change in the ME and become fair to those people, they will definitely change their attitude.
Notice that still, this attitude is mainly hatred against the American policies, and not the people. Ignorance then does what it does. Although to be fair, some educated people still blame the American public because America IS a democracy. So, what the government does, is what the people want, at least theoretically. The problem is the lobbyists have (some) effect both on the government and the public opinon.

Ok. But before we make any deals, I'll ask you not to beleive everything you see on the news. Instead, you can read a book like this one. I don't want to get into who controls the media here, and the US foreign policies, etc. The fact is, I got my elementary and prep school education in Saudi Arabia, and then my high school in Egypt. None taught me that Americans should die a horrible death. Even if people feel any injustice done to them, that doesn't mean they can kill other people.
