And VB definately compiles down to reasonable machine code. Just this week I patched a VB program that a previous employee had written (source was 'missing'). He had left in a date check that stopped the program working after a certain date. I found the message it displayed, traced back through the disassembly looking for references and just before the MsgBox() code was a conditional jump. Patched the conditional jump to an absolute jump and it started working again. Pretty good, seeing as I don't know x86 assembler... (but I do know 680x0, 6809 & some Z80).
Erm, yes there is, and it's been around for about 600 years. It's not written down in 1 document like the US version. Mostly it consists of Statute Law (created by parliament) & Common Law (created by the courts). See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_constitutiona l_law
Britain does not extradite if the penalty includes death.
P.S. What do you think large parts of the US constitution is based on? You might want to look up the Magna Carta...
if that was really true then why can i easily delete files on any windows machine
Because you have the rights to do so. No different from Unix.
Why is it that malware can hide in any system directory? because MSFT never enforced those standards.
Because the user who executed it had the rights to do so. No different from Unix.
The problem with Windows is that by default most users are administrators, and some software depends on this. Fundamentally Windows filesystem security no different from Unix.
That's a stupidity tax.
I've got an Amiga CD with a file named 'CON'. Windows doesn't like that either.
Mac and Linux users get popups and spam too you know.
Yes
And then sue the vendor because you were too stupid to realise that hot coffee you just bought is hot, rather than luke warm.

I have been programming in VB since Version 2, and right up to Version 6
Yet you don't know that VB *is* compiled by default?
I worked in Eindhoven for 1 year as part of my UK college degree. For Philips of course! Nice place. I plan to go back there some day.
Not sure this would work - you cannot sign away your statutory rights.
They are probably getting a kick-back from the promoter/venue for that $12 ticket too.
Why would we want to watch our own propaganda? :-)

In the whole of London? I'm not sure I believe you. I mean, did you ask _all_ three of them?
It's spelt 'Nazi'
Copy/paste detector? I don't like the sound of that. I could be out of a job :)
Not tried it, but looking at the screenshots I can see 2 bad points:
- It's not free (MPC is)
- It's skinable! (yes, skinable = bad!)
Ever heard of rechargable batteries?
Don't yeast's produce all sorts of B vitamins? If so, the answer is to drink lots of beer.
Oui!
When you grow up boy you'll find out!

Did you know that Dell supplied Windows CDs only boot (without tweaking) on Dell PCs?
Free speech? In the USA? You're kidding me right? You must be thinking about some other place.
