I love my PSP. I play it more than I do regular consoles. I am always away from the house so the PSP is perfect. I am loading a ton of Atari 2600 games right as I type this.
Geeks on call charges $75/hour. You should give them a "break" and charge $30-$50 an hour depending on the client(friend) and the complexity of the task. If they balk at the price point them in the direction of Geeks on call and tell them to have a nice day. I quit helping out all but my immediate family and nearest friends because it always cause rifts and I am nobodys personal tech support. At one time I was fielding calls from at least a "friend" a day for computer help. After awhile I asked what they did for a living and requested free service from them instead. Nobody obliged and I now have a free life again.
If you read the article now, it says that the price of $350 is not offical from Sony. I feel that Sony could release it for 250-300 but any more and you can forget it. If Sony is to beleive the PSP is the "iPod" of portable gaming and can charge a premium they can forget it. Sony has yet to lose money on a piece of hardware and this might reflect in the overall price and $350 would make sense to Sony. Only time will really tell.
I really liked the first two GTAs and I loved GTA III and Vice City. This game melds the overhead view of the old games and the gameplay of the newer GTAs. This could be one of the better GBA games yet. I look forward to seeing the first reviews when it is released.
This happens everytime. Once a new system is about to be released (Nintendo DS), the best games for the current platform (GBA) are released.
I just ordered the "QuickTransit for x86" so I can play my XBOX games on my Mac. Even better, I can run an x86 distro of Linux on my Mac. I am so out of control someone help.
I have always hated Creative Labs (Oxymoron). The last time they were creative, the SB16 was the deal. I hate thier bloat-ware drivers and studio of useless audio apps. Is it me or do the "features" in the Creative Studio or whatever it is called today seem like an advertisement? There is nothing useful in the extras either.
I said the same thing myself until I used it. It is not the greatest thing to ever happen to email, but it is a great Web-Baseed email solution. I have been using it for over 3 weeks now and while there is a ton of stuff that needs to be addressed, the system is very stable. If you want one of the precious invites, email me and I will invite you to test it out. Don't knock it till you try it. jasonsneedNO@SPAMgmail.com
It seems that most of the time Microsoft crams too many options into thier new gadgets. Now it seems as if this "iPod Killer" is dumbed down by it's lack of features. I would like to see a remote and video in added.
I think it is pretty cool. It is the first of its kind and could pave way for future releases. In the future they could send you a full game with a demo built-in. The demo is unlocked by default but the full game is not. The user could then purchase the game via credit-card or paypal or something. I see a lot of other developers paying close attention to this.
I am so getting one just to sit on a shelf and sell 20 years from now. I am sure very few people here in the states will actually buy one (~100,000 units) so it will become an instant collectors item.
The reality is that I am waiting for the PSP. The N-Gage could be cool if they fix the list of problems.
When I built my site in XHTML my flash banner made the code not validate. Being a concerned designer when it comes to standards, I found a work around. Put the flash banner in an IFRAME and it works fine.
Flash is great for banners, buttons, and other "Flashy" things on your site. You can even create an entire site in FLASH that can be searched by the bots fine. I use all the tools given to me: Textpad, Flash, Paintshop Pro(cheap great alternative to Photoshop) and w3schools.com.
If you don't care about standards, use FrontPage and call it a day. Otherwise use the proper standards that fit the situation.
I have an ATI All In Wonder Radeon 7500 and have been blown away by it features. I use the card to drive a 32" TV. I have no monitor for the system. I use it as another of my componets for my Home Theater setup. I use its TV Guide software to record my favorite shows. I also record all my videos at VCD quaility so I can transefer them to CD. It is real easy to use and comes with a remote control. I also use a Wireless Keyboard, Mouse, and LAN. The system plays all the curent games and cost less than $500.
There are some downsides to it. I cannot record the Premium channels without looping the video back in (Pain In the Ass). You also need to download the TV Guide channel update every week. The remote is terrible for mouse negotiation. No DX 8 features are the only other problem I see with the card.
As far as the last part, (DX 8 Support)so few games today use it I do no miss it. The card is a great buy overall with a price of under $150. It may not be as dumbed down as TIVO but I am content.

The info will come out quicker. It is taking forever for anything to come out. Engadget is doing a good job though.

I never install a service pack right away. I wait awhile for the people to opine on it.
I did not see it posted so here is the link to the order form:p /toyota.aspx

All you need to do is request a Prius brochure and they will send you a brochure and the GT4 DVD.

I Agree with you. To a degree.
I think that the monsters hand in the one pic looks blocky.
Then though, you relize that all the lights are dynamic and that all the textures are bump mapped. This is going to be one pretty game.
