I agree. There's no registered thief list. Or registered drug dealer list. I think sex offenders are unfairly tagged. With a list of registered offenders e-mail's and IM's, they won't just monitor (everyone gets monitored). I suspect places like MySpace will lock down all tagged accounts reguardless if inappropriate activity has taken place or not. "Will somebody think of the children!?". Ever search the database for offenders in your neighborhood? You were probably surprised to find that there was some. But keep in mind, most people on that list are not stalking children on the playground. As parent said, if they were deemed a threat to society, they would be in custody. Example might be.... 18 year boy falls in love with 15 year old girl (and they make a little whoopy). Girls mom finds out and presses charges. Boy is now a sex offender. How is this boy a danger to you or anyone? Why should he be tagged? Why should his neighbors be lead to believe he's going to rape their children?

They're going to release an update to the 1.5 branch that will make a pop-up box asking users if they want to upgrade to 2.0. So no, it hasn't been forced and won't be. People who have 2.0 now, have manually downloaded it themselves (like me!). And personally, I am very satisfied with 2.0. Gotta love the spell checker!

  12. Re:Whats the problem? on An Interview with a Cheater · · Score: 1

"I still cantunderstand why people get so angry about this." Easy. Some people want to cheat. Some people want to play fair. The people who want to play fair, are robbed of that opportunity when someone cheats. That makes them angry! Cheaters argue that they're evening the playing field. Ok great. There's servers where people turn on all their hacks and cheaters can cheat all they want. Cheaters VS Cheaters is fair. But if someone wants a strait game and someone flips on their aim bot or wall hack, it sucks! They want to play by the rules. Test their skills. Be challenged. Not turn on a hack to counteract. You obviously never have the desire to play fair, otherwise you'd clearly understand why people get angry.

Not true. I remember DOOM had a god mode that was pretty easy to get to. I knew it was there, I tried it out a couple of times, but never played for long with it on. What's the point? No challenge is pretty damn boring if you ask me. Might as well be shooting fish in a bucket.
