I've been told by my work's IT department to VPN into work and then do any kind of browsing that I want to do when I'm in a free/insecure wifi spot. Thus having a more secure connection while at a coffee shop or something.
I've yet to do this because I'm not sure they're prepared for 4chan showing up in their logs. The repercussions could negatively impact the paycheck scheme i've got going.
I happen to be knee-deep in Agile development in a corporate environment, as a lowly junior developer. The teams are definitely meeting every day and it is hyper-collaborative in that respect but user involvement is still handled by marketing and trickles down to R&D at a slowly and ambiguously. I see this as our weak point. The slow pace could be a positive so that we don't spin out of control, but the quality of information we get is where things are most dangerous, imho.
I imagine a start-up would be small enough to include developers in the customer-collaboration process.
Pfft...next you're going to tell me you require a production ready risc or cisc processor with documented registers/instructions and a predictable clock.
"...Usually a Pres. and Vice-Pres. are in the same general age range..."
Not entirely true. Look at Bush/Cheney:
Dick Cheney, a known Vampyre, is dated to be at least 450 years old, making him nearly 20 generations older than Bush.
I can envision Metallica sitting a RIAA-friendly board room right now, conspiring how to put out a 96Kbps WMA file that expires after your 10th Zune play(Not that there's much terribly wrong with a Zune).
As much as they have lost there edge and younger fan-base, I can't imagine Metallica being too sincere(or successful) with this
I have, and on relatively nice hardware. I wasn't impressed enough to rave about it and I wasn't discouraged enough to format immediately.
To me the disappointment is that nearly a decade of Windows XP led Microsoft to believe that this Vista product is superior and revolutionary to anything. It's not even superior to XP. It's been clearly underwhelming and Bill Gates can't mention Windows (codename) 7 enough. Which of course will be revolutionary in that it is supposed to be nothing like Vista. I'm rambling, but you now officially have 1 vote against Vista SP1 for your survey.
"...Al Franken is not a credible source for content. You wouldn't accept a quote from Rush Limbaugh. The 911 Commission's Report is a better source and it was critical of both administrations...."
I can understand your intention in that argument however only one of those two gentlemen would actually use the 911 Commission's Report in a debate. It's not the pill-popper.
I'll admit that there is a part of me that wants AMD to win. For the little guy that doesn't advertise much and performs well. After years of painful Intel marketing and lackluster technology they have finally put out a good product and that's good for them. I'll likely continue to use AMD on the desktop and Intel on the mobile.
You, my friend, have never been in a Fry's Electronics.
Not only will the processor be less expensive than newegg, but they'll throw in an ECS motherboard (if you can call it that) to sweeten the deal.
I don't always post, but when I do...

I heard if IBM doesn't win, they will lay off 10,000 employees.
15,000 if it does win.
The shameless wireless lobby has stooped to an all-time low.
How much longer must we face tyranny and unjust prosecution in this, the Obama era?

Somebody's trying to avoid funding cuts from the new administration

*sigh of relief* For a second there I thought you were going to lump us C-Pound developers in that unsavory group ;)

My current solution is definitely a great value, however it is only if/once the sorority finds out that i will find out what 'cheap' really is.

It's already on Newegg boys. Do get the preferred finance card.
Oh the ASCII representation is downright hawt.

You might want to cancel the 3.4.10 patch. That's all I'm going to say.
Hey, how do i digg the parent up?
Ahhh....good old slashdot.

Don't let my IT department know.

There are Jews in the Iranian parliament. Sorry to burst your bubble little guy. Try again.

you must be one of those rich kids from the upper east side.
He wouldn't have got caught had he used Ogg Vorbis!!
Buffalo,NY debunks that theory.
