If you are a recognised artist and it is art, if not, it is stupid and valueless. Art field, in my opinion, has become a popularity contest since the invention of photography. (Look up Picasso's philosophy of the role of artists after the photography invention).
Mars have crappy latency and bandwidth, and that is IF you can find a working rover and hack your signal in... Have you taught about Canada? Montreal is big in IT stuff and life is great there.
Overengineering is a very bad thing. Hard to believe the KISS principle wax born in the USA when you look at things like the Shuttle (High costs, high coolness factor, the people's taxes get siphoned by contractors...)
Feel free to rate articles in the recent link on the upper left of the website. This way you can help filter the crap out like I do. Whining will not stop the crap, rating articles do.
The only thing an investor have to do is make sure they put their money where it will grow. The facebook IPO was a complete and utter joke (feel free to review my past comments). If Joe wants to make it's placement itself, he bears the risk. If a financial advisor told Joe to invest in Facebook, he should be sacked prompy, head first. Simple as that.
Dont want risk? Invest in primary industries that MAKE STUFF people NEED. Period.
To me, it seems to be a giant detour to convince us to use only "Trusted" computing. Tablets are computers, only artificially limited and overpriced. We (consumers) are footing the bill for a future where all platforms will be walled garden monopolies. If you like it, kudos to you. I am not touching closed system with a 10 miles pole as I do not want my children to live in a world where computing is limited and watered down.
Simple user interfaces have a place, but why insisting on getting down the throat of everybody? Why not set a parameter to express the level of simplicity you need (child/regular/pro). I just cant figure why we dont have this already!
Given it is radiation hardened specs, those are fabulous! You cant just get your latest core i7 and expect it to work correctly once it escapes the protection of earth's magnetosphere. Also, heat dissipation is much more trickier when you dont have air to work with (space) or cannot afford top replace air filters for the cooling systems (mars).
That is probably why a team of 100 software engineers issues about 1000 commands per day for the rover. My guess is a lot of the work is triple checking everything before they upload an update. There is just no room for error in this situation.
And the proximity to such a wide variety of languages make it possible to practice them regularly and have a strong incentive to do so. Should I ever visit your country, do you have any recommendation for a good feel of the back country?
Indeed, I would like to get hands on a wide reaching comparative study involving more languages than two. My guess is that finding people speaking more than 2 languages are not common... and you sir are a real exception.
Not only you speak 7 languages, you have a 4 digit UID... what an honor.
Thinking if it, the must be other parts of the globe people routinely speaks many languages. Slashdoters of the world, would you enlighten us about your particular region?

What if they discover it's targeting systems in a nuclear facility? We dint know what its target is until we crack it.
My solution: AdBlock+ let you flag any DIV as bad evil advertising... just point to the anniying part and you are off the hook!.

Are the figures coming from the same team that blew a mars rover years ago?
The original article is very very wrong... is journalism dead? I think so, will look into obituaries to check it up.
Add the radars, armoring, weapons and maintenance cost of a fleet and we have comparable figures.
it should read 1 mile per second actually
+1 Funny, sadly I have no mod points left...

But you CAN install another DE like XFCE... use what is best for the platform you use.
If you can achieve a sustained write speed of 50 megabytes per second, you are in for 140 hours of data transfer. I hope it is not a daily backup!
May be your limiting factor here.

For those wondering where the numbers come from, just read the article!

im intrigued, what other types exist?
That is the reason iTunes got out of my computers aeons ago.

They should call George Noory from Coast to Coast AM. He talk about it quite often on the air.
