    Assuming 30 days and rounding to 1$ per liter... You spend 10$ for about 40km... which bring you to 25 liters per 100 km. Do you drive a big rig or what? My old Ford Taurus 95 consume half of that when I forget to put oil in the engine...

    One day, my roommate brought home a former waepon smuggler... interresting fellow but I REALLY wish our path never crossed. Many years later, I found out my landlord for the recording studio I was investing in was heavily into russian mafia... that is when I left the business. Another time, when I was younger and hitchhicking, a Hell's Angel gave me a ride and tried to recruit me.

    You never know who you encounter. None of those encounters was voluntary, all of them could barred me from a job in security field.

    Actually, when I was a kid I dreamed to finish my life as an old sage living on top of a hard to climb mountain waiting for people to visit me and seek knowledge... ...of course Wikipedia made my dream completely useless, I would still love to live at the top of a mountain. Did it once but the rent was through the roof...

    A dead guy does not pay taxes nor medical bills, that is the reason. Oh, and usually some people tends to love and cherish the ones they know. My grandfather killed himself and I was okay with it, he would have died from cancer two months down the road crapping himself in a hospital bed. Sometimes it's about keeping control of your life while you can.

    Search for stevia, it is very sweet but contains no sugar. It's a shame producers are so stubborn about pushing unhealty food when perfectly good alternatives exists.

    Most of my employers was more than happy to let me use computers for slashdot and news site, because when they need some advice on a subject, I can answer most of questions and back it with my research.

    Their accelerator being better may or may not be true.. But it's still built into Internet Explorer.

    The biggest pile of shit we've ever had to deal with. Over and over for every crappy version.

    I AM a tab freak, I visit websites with heavy ads on them. I never close my browser (FF 3.6.9). I sometime have over 20 pages opened and it stay that way for months. Never had an issue with it.

    The hypocrisy is demanding better working condition without wanting to pay a cent more per pair of shoes you buy from that factory. Many manufacturers in China now have "demo" fcatories that comply to humane standards, and sweatshops that can keep up with the prices and production required by the client.

    We have a levy tax from like over ten years. Every blank media, Ipod, hard drive have a small levy tax. I known artists and they receive checks every three months based on their share of album sales. What that means, artists receive their fair share of money AND you cannot get sued if you, or your children, happen to download music.
