There you are. I use the 1.20 version and it does everything I want it to do.

I would have gotten this to you last night but lately /. has decided that it doesn't like me to post only at random times. It really would be nice if they would fix their code so people that people with a good posting record and positive karma could continue to post normally. I mean after all we would like to continue to add, contribute, and grow with our favorite nerd board, wouldn't we?

Please don't let the sarcasm of that last paragraph hit you in the face. Hope that program helps, I has really made my life better. I have a few political polling people that like to call me. It tells them to just fuck off.

Same here. I get one fucking phone call a week now. I found this little program that uses my caller id modem to check in the incoming call number against a blacklist. If the incomiing call has out of area, a blocked number, or on the list it picks up the phone and tells them to put me on the do not call list. Nice little program.

There is a problem with black people. I'll use that term since its been pointed out to me that negro is no longer a PC term anymore. Why do blacks as a group when left to their own come out worse than any other race? You don't have this problem with whites, Asians, and Indian's.

Not talking about individual blacks but only blacks as groups. You see this all around the globe, Haiti, sub-saharan Africa, in most inner cities, and most notably South Africa. Why are all those places riddled with corrupt governments and violence? Why, despite all the aid that has been pumped into those places, are they going backwards?

Haiti has been bailed out several times in the last hundred years but always turns back in to a fat cluster fuck when left alone. South Africa ended a 100 years of white only rule a few years ago. Now its a hell hole under black rule. Then there is the cluster fuck in New Orleans and nothing needs to be said about that.

When poor Hispanics move in from Mexico move into a area that was primary black and take over, why does every thing start to improve? Why is it when disasters hit primary white and Asian areas, why is the accounts of looting and rioting non-existent?

The bastards over at Stormfront are laughing their asses off saying "told you so." Are they right? Is there something different about blacks, genetically, culturally, or biological that makes them prone to violence and anarchy that we don't understand?

Instead of hiding from the problem why don't we address them?

That is because it has been proven and shown time and time again that when a crises starts it's negro's that will riot and loot before any other race. In fact the number of time sthat negro's loot and riot far exceeds instances of other races, White, indian, asian, or even jewish.

So, instead of trying to control Nature, why don't we just learn to live with it. Build buildings that are designed to stand up to the local climate. Stop building in flood plains. Destroying the natural buffer wetlands.

But most important when something big and ugly is coming, get the fuck out of the way.

Ignoring studies that say this doesn't work, but planting trees doesn't remove CO2 from the biosphere. All it does it put the CO2 into the tree for temporary storage. Once the tree dies the CO2 is free to rejoin the environment.

The key the CO2 problem is to remove it from the biosphere. It has be locked up into something long term like limestone.

Note, I'm making this up on the spot, please feel free to point out I don't know what the hell I'm talking about.

  10. Re:How does it come out? on Hydrogen Stored in Safe High Density Pellets · · Score: 4, Interesting

There are plenty of ways to deal with the long term storage of nuclear waste. People just don't want to commit to it.

With conventional oil drilling technology is it possible to drill for oil with. Drill a hole into the ocean floor in a Subduction zone. On average I think you will drill through 1 mile of sediments. Then you drill a farther 1 mile into the ocean floor. Or hell, why stop at 2 miles down, current technology can drill down 4 or 5 miles easy. Encase the waste in glass, grind up the glass in to pellets and dump them in the hole.

Leave about a mile of the hole empty, the sediment layer, at the top. Then pile in the sediments that was removed, about a mile of it.

Problem solved. You've put the waste out of the environment. By putting it in to a Subduction plate it will be carried down into the earth where it will be cooked for a few billion years at 5,000 degrees.

I'm pretty sure I over simplified the problem but both the technology and theory are mature enough to be refined.

Conservation isn't the answer because of that unlimited energy assumption. We need budget energy like we do cash reserves. If say we only got, pulling a number out of my ass here, 10K watts a month we would learn to live within that budget.
