    It's ust a differernt way to type. I can type near as fast with one hand as i can with 2. I dont do it as much so i do make typos, but with practice, my generic kb would work fine as a 1-handed kb.

    get a powered hub. I got a 4 port powerd hub (Belkin) for $35 at CompUSA.

    get a 17" imac. Covers all your options but the PDA. For that get a Sony Clie. The cheapest one unless you actually will use the stuff the expensive ones come with.

    Or wear it wothout a button. That's why they have so many. and you can put duct tape on the inside to keep it from flapping. Trust me, i've done this.

    Also, people i talk to say i don't want a mac. They never know why and i've often gotten them interested just by mentioning it. The iPod will help this a lot as now all people are exposed to an apple product. (everyone i know knows about the ipod, while most never give macs a first, much less second, thought.

    I like windowshadex and will probobly buy it.
    He is too hard on the dock. I don't minimize stuff ( hence why i like shading and expose). I will minimize vnc connections that wll go untouched for days at a time, but that's it. I hated the old OS9 apple menu, though i do wish that go > Applications was expandable and accessable everywhere. I never have the problems he mentins withh the dock, though. It's not ideal, but imo it's an improvement over os9.

    i am insane and have a dehabilitating head injury, but will not resond to this spam. Mail.app's filtering(i forget what method it uses -- i really am becommig a mac head) blocks all my spam b/c i'm careful with my email address, but i still wouldnt fall for it.

    I just dragged IE.app to the trash and no problem. I dragged it back becasuew eyeTV uses it, though, but it can be removed.

    I think pretty low. Also, the Iraqis have always lived undertyrrany, so have no expectation of freedom and were "protected" by the government from info about places where there is freedom.

    Since it can play ogg and even encoude audio, it must have more powerful hardware than the iPod. How does this affect the battery, and does the player get hot?

    And why can't they hire a competant deigner. it's so damn ugly. As much as i love Apple, they would make even better players if they had competition.

    once ogg can be decoded by the low-power (both speed and batterywise) processor on the ipod.
