i would hate this if it couldn't be forlded. it' would be too easy to break. what if someone sits on the roll, or bumps in to it. I think it's more of a durability thing. would you want to carry something that fragile on the subway?
you haven't used linux in a few years, have you. It works with everythin. Including stuff i can't find win32 drivers for. Or the win32 drivers don't work. All gold w/ linux.
Well, if each selection of 6 numbers had a 1 in 56 chance of winning the jackpot and that cost me a dollar, then spending 60 bucks pretty much guarantees that I'll win the jackpot. I could still lose of course, but such a loss would be unlikely.
Of course, the jackpot would only come to $40 per person. You still lose. There is no guarantees in gambling. Either you're lucky or not. Over a long period of time you come down to even. Except the house isn't gambling and you still lose. Game over.
You know space travel is dangerous, right. So do the astronauts. Admittadly, the shuttles need to be replaced, but not grounded until ther's a replacement. By your logic we shouldn't have an army either. Since that's kinda dangerous too.
really i thought it was he first step on the way to having everything play nicely with nectar's work on getting NSS into the system. I guess i didn't really get it, then.
actuall amd has made cpus for a long time. Previously, though their cpus were shitty clones. Finally they struck it big w/ the athlons. No chip company makes only cpus, though. Intel, ibm, via, etc all make tons of other chips. In fact the desktop cpus are only a fraction of what any chip co. makes.
I've never had a problem with a linksys. Airports are hard to configure with os 9. I haven't ever done it in 10, but it's probobly comparable. They're expensive and really mean to non-apples.
with Linksys waps, otoh, just drop it in, put in the dsl l/p, enable WEP, and set a network name. They play nice with macs and pcs. even with aol. Also, linksys does sell routers with a built in print server. I've never used one, though.
Not because we can't afford new one (private school buys computer by the tons to waste money and keep non-profit status) but because we still have some old software that still needs the apple][. No real reason to replace them and the software would have to be rewritten.
I'm gonna patent applying for patents of thing that shouldn't be patented with no plan to produce, but just to make a quick buck. If you try to do this first i'll sue you.
I've heard apple sells refurb stuff, but every link i've seen goes to a page that says session timed out and i can't find the link to refurb on the store. Does anyone know how t get to the refurb apple products.
And the only input device will be a modified xbox gamepad. It will be the same size and shape and keep all the buttons, but will also have a keyboard, trackball, mouse with full-sixed mouse pad, 6 piece speaker system, and mazda miata built in.

Hire a linux guru. Fire the rest of IT except for a few grunts to replace bad hardware. Go for a dotorg distro. I'm a gentoo fan, but debian, a BSD, or even free versions of commercial distros all fit. Switch to OSS tools.
Cost: 1 guru + grunts. that's it. Gurus schale a hella lot better than support packages too.
i assume this is a joke, but there is a difference between civil and criminal cases. Hell, if you don't want to pay for a lawyer in a criminal case, they'll give you one.
They can't sue m$ for this. 1) A patch exists. 2) Software has bugs. It's a fact of life. If you dont' like bugs, don't use software. (Or hardware for that matter). 3) M$ never claimed their products are perfectly secure. "Secure" is relative. M$ platforms are secure to an extent. Weather that's goo enough is up to the individual.
Once again another case of M$ being in the right. I hate these, but it's stupid to say they're bad JUST because they're M$. They do enough bad stuff to satisfy anyone's faming needs. I'm glad that a fair number of perople do oppose this, though.
While DVD-R hasn't been shown to be more durable than VHS, quality won't degrade and subsequent copies will be just as good. if the tapes are important, you can make multiple copies (or wait a few years until DVD-R disks are as cheap as dirt and CD-R). IDE is an option, but if a disk fails you lose a LOT of stuff. I wouldn't consider IDE as a long therm archival solution. Digital Tape(like for computer backups) may actually work better than IDE. VCD is ok, but it may be kinda ugly to convert. I assume youre' using windows but on linux(if you've got both), you could just write a shell script and then VCD may be your best option, especially VCD is about the same quality as VHS.
Will Powerbooks start using these, or will they be a desktop thing? Basically, i'm asking it they run cool enough and use lttle enough power to be used in a portable. One thin i like about powerbooks is the battery, so i hope apple won't kill that with the new chip it it's a power hog. Though one of these in a laptosh would be sweeet.
