    It's pretty bad, though. I've used 3 infringing devices today.

    1) My mac. Left-click and hold brings up a menu.
    2) My iPod. Hold Pause to turn it off
    3) My Car HU. Press SRC to switch b/t radio and CD or hold to turn the HU off.

    Apple has been very successful in the past marketing to 5% of the market, but they realized that that strategy wouldn't work for online music.

    Cause apple doesn't think the tech is there. A iPda would need a more powerful processor (hotter and more power usage) and a big, color screen ($$$$ and space). Once 1" hdds get cheap i bet you will be able to get a 15 gb iPda with a 1" drive in a 3G iPod style enclosure (more bettery and heat dissipation space) with a large color screen that normall shows what you usually see on the fron of the iPod (except the buttons are just images) and can also do PDA stuff. i bet you will also be able to get a 40 gb+ traditional Ipod for the same price.

    And as a piolet all you do is sit in the plane hoping for something to break so you can actually fly instead of just watching the autopilot, so i doubt you care if cells are being used.

    i assume you're talking about nvidia. The thing is that nvidia drivers and card interfaces are actually a trade secret becasue the better their drivers / interfaces are the better the card performs. If the released the source/specs some guy at ATI could see what nvidia does to make XYZ work well and that would put nvidia at a disadvantade. Graphics cards are pretty unique in this respect.

    osx is designed for a one button mouse and i never miss the second button on the laptop. Cick and hold somethimse actas as rt. click and control click (which isn't hard to do on a laptop since the touchpad is close to the keyboard) always acts as a rt. cick. I wish they had a 2 button touvhpad, but that would be a huge difference and goes agains the "Just Works" philisophy, so i understand where they are cooming from. And with osx, it not that big a deal.

    However, i think the best argument against worring about emissions of classics is that all the classics in the city don't produce as many pollutants as one old dump truck that is emempt from pollution laws becasue it pollutes so much.

    We have lower expectations for web games, that's why. In 10 years, when web games are as glitzy as modern compuer games, only the cream of the crop will get attention and edu web games won't be played as much.

    The problem is that those old apps and games can't compete with the glitz of modern games. However, when you make an educational piece of software glitzy, it tends to suck. i don't know it it just seem rediculous, or that the authors are rushing it to keep consts low. Whatever it is, edu software like that isn't really viable anymore.

    That seems like a violation of the fifth amnmendment. They can't say you'll be fined $10000 for not testifying, voiding the insurance contract is basically the same thing.

    Any admin needs to abolish telnet and unencrypted http passwords. The first step in security is the password layer and they're just wasting that. The privlidge elevation bugs are a problem, but they should be keeping important servers up to date with only a short testing delay. Linux may be secure, but it's by no means perfect.

    I'd hink that when talking on IM you have given implied consent for the guy you're sending to (but nobody in the middle) to save it. And in irc, etc, you're publishing into the public domain, so does this law actually apply?
