    Most people consider it a normal computer-related nuiscence. it's so common in win/ie that most people have to deal with it. Also, everyone gets porn spam and the masses don't realize there's a difference and they even hear "gurus" complain about porn spam.

    It's called a plea bargain. He didn't want to risk completely ruining his life and having to go to prison as a sex offender (the only things worse than that in prison are shild molester and snitch).

    Is realease a Fairplay codec for xmms, etc. If one can play iTMS files on linux, odds are that people will stop cracking it since if they wanted to "steal" music, there are easier ways.

    Sweet APIs? No way. I've programmed in MFC and my code tured into a huge mess of window pointers. For code that is windows only, i still prefer wxWindows even though DialogBlocks isn't as nice as Visual C++.

    I gues i'll have to find my win2k cd when i install windows from no on instead of just logging on to #serialz, but windows piracy is the gratest hurdle to OSS adoption. If people can't fix windows if they have a pirated version, they will look at OSS.

    Of course, MS knows this and won't actually crack down, they're judt trying to scare a few people into paying up.

    Real cars have betteries too. IIRC, firewire power runs at 12v, so just tap into a 12V line (cigar lighter) and hook that up to a modified firewire cable.

    wire lasts the longest. It's what airplane black boxes use. The things can be broken apart and reattached without information loss. The desity and speed sucks, but it lasts.

    the guys at NetBSD have decided that Longhorn will not be the only OS to run on a Whopper and have ported NetBSd to run on various burgers including the Whopper, Big Mac, and all of Wendy's architectures.

    They are also running what is basically windows XP. The real changes in a MS OS don't occcur until rc2.

    I still don't see what is the problem with target ads. I see ads that might lead me to something i want and the advertiser is more likely to benefit from that ad. It seems like a win-win situation to me.
