That breaks some sites -- no I don't particularly want to debate how retarded relying on any user supplied info is. Just use Firefox with RefControl set to "forge" (send the root of the site as the referrer).
See my other comment for more privacy/security add-ons.
Like others have said, CookieSafe and CS Lite are like NoScript for cookies with the option to allow cookies for a specific site: permanently, for each session or once-off.
I currently use the above extensions as well as Adblock, Filterset.G and RefControl. The latter set to "forge" (send the root of the site as the referrer).
I consider these the essential privacy/security add-ons for Firefox. I'm interested if anyone has any others to add to the list.
Not that I'm against Street View, I think it rocks, but it could be better if there were an automated way of removing the non-permanent features such as people and cars since they are not necessary for mapping anyhow.
They could probably do a double-pass and subtract the difference but it'd be a lot more stitchy than it currently is.
I have had ideas which later have been implemented by someone else [...] I have come to the conclusion that the best ideas are the ones which you don't actually mind if someone else creates, because it means you get to use the creation.
I have had the same experience and come to the same conclusion. I mean it doesn't matter who does it right, as long as it gets done?
[the pay version] would have the ability to playback the crash in slow motion and to create youtube-like vids
You can set Firefox to prompt you to save a PDF instead of opening it with a plugin. Flash I will sometimes tolerate, but I won't let Acrobat Reader any where near my browser.
That's the slashdot paradox. Somehow linked websites' servers crash from 1 million+ geeks simultaneously failing to RTFA.
Gentlemen, I dare say that web servers are so frightened of a good old Slashdotting that they keel over obsequiously at the mere posting of a link to them on the Main Page.
They're cool enough to do in front of other people, no matter how bad you are, and you have something to show off to your friends.
You've never been beatten up by a twelve year old girl, have you? Say, while testing for my yellow belt. Err, your yellow belt.
Even despite situations like that, all the students at the Kwoon I go to are lovely and there is no judgement. It's really nice to work out somewhere where people don't form an opinion of you based on your physical abilities.
I just don't think this is that big of a deal. I do think it will be extremely easy to game, e.g. flood it with FPs like the congestion charge cameras in the UK. It will be interesting to see what games people come up with.
RegExp & eval == WIN
Come on, you're not seriously going to make a function to not do something?
How about:
if ( category == "idle" ) {
post_in_front_page = false;
}
Or how about going to Help & Preferences > Sections > Idle > Never?

I believe that's ipsomobile.
You mean http://df.cn/?
Terry Pratchett itself
Itself?
That was probably the best opportunity to use the four corners cliche and you messed it up.
Fail troll is fail.
Oh god. Look at their "web search" function:
Excite, Lycos, InfoSeek, AltaVista, HotBot, Yahoo, WebCrawler, OpenText & Magellan
What a blast from the past. Are any of these other than Yahoo still around?

in Finland you're supposed to stand with your back against the wall
I'm not sure I want to know what led to that rule.

How do you propose to plug the analogue hole?
I was going to say I resent GP's joke, but it's just as funny as the /.er stereotype. (married, 2 kids, regular hot sex =) Never stop exploring.
Looks like Joe's is a KDE shop... where would I go for Gnome support?
Gordon Gnome's Ghoulish Graphics Gawking Gallery?
The site does work in IE but not Firefox -- piss-poor webmastership either way.

don't feed the trolls?
Look at the media attention this guy is getting.
This is possibly the most successful troll ever.
His noodliness does not wear clothes, unless you count sauce as clothes.
+1 Internets for you
...I can say that as a libraian-in-training
