Simple Solution: Every forum admin, everywhere, needs to blacklist NJ IP addresses. Just drop 'em at the router, whether they're coming to the site to use the forums or not. Hell, even if you don't have a forum...just block NJ. Just for, say, 1 - 3 days. Just a little this is what you can expect if this bill passes notice. If being unable to access any webpage on the 'net which happens to have a forum (and maybe even some that don't) doesn't encourage the citizens of that state to start an uproar, nothing will.
"If someone does not want me to use their server, it is their responsibility to deny me access."
Are you stupid? This is like saying it's perfectly legal to go through a wal-mart parking lot trying every door of every car you come to. Just because you don't get in the car when you find an open door doesn't mean it's ok.
Since when was DDR 'cool'? As far as I can tell, it's cool factor (at least in the U.S.) is somewhere between Richard Simmons and Fatal1ty...IOW, it might be famous and popular in it's own little circle, but it still has to sit with the losers, nerds, and fatties in the cafeteria.
Based on the OP's email address and a little digging through a buzzword-infested website with a beautifully retina-burning design, I'm guessing that KLone is the product they're trying to sell.
My first bit of advice would be to re-work your website. It sounds like a big part of your target audience will be developers. Consider: Programmer Jon has been hacking away for hours. Finally, he throws up his arms in despair. All the Red Bull in the world can't seem to solve his problem, so he starts searching the web for a solution developer that may be able to help him. Right now, it's 1am. He's sitting in a dark or dim office, and he's using the LCD display his company provided. So far, this has not been a problem, though; he's been programming in a console editor or other program that allowed him to set background to black and foreground to gray or vice-versa, and his eyes are doing fine. So...he comes across your site, which offers the ideal solution to his problems. Does he dive under the desk in fear of the brightness of your site, or look deeper? Right now, I say he dives. But say he gets past that...does the main page dazzle him with brilliance, or baffle him with bullshit? I say it baffles...even after you sort through the buzzwords and convert the main page to English, there is still nothing telling a potential customer wtf you are selling. It seems to me that the subject of this ask slashdot only scratches the surface of the depths of your incompetence in the world of marketing. That's not to say you're a bad developer...just a bad marketer. So, my simple answer to your question: Hire somebody who doesn't have to ask the questions you are asking, instead of trying to solve the problem yourself.
According to TFA on MS's site, part of the Windows Vista Business edition will be the new Aero GUI...wtf? So you mean to tell me that for my organization to upgrade to your new OS, we will not only have to upgrade our processors across the board, but we will also have to shell out a couple hundred bucks per box for high end graphics cards just so it looks extra pretty for the ditzy secretary on the 2nd floor? Ahem, no...I don't think so.
What a load of shit. This is just a way to force students who aren't qualified for financial aid, or for low amounts of financial aid, to pay for their own computers, rather than the lab approach where the school buys them for everybody. It's a nice headline I'm sure, but it's just an prettied up way to save the school money, even though it will make the school more expensive (for, say, a $1600 laptop and a 4-year degree, that's $200/semester), but it won't have any appreciable effect, if any at all, on the rules for student financial aid. There are very large numbers of students who don't qualify for much in the way of financial aid beyond the basic federal loans, but still can barely afford to go to even a cheap local college. This program will just make it harder for those people.
Where's the action shot? The front page has a nice graphic and all, but I wanna see what this actually looks like on a normal projector screen / whiteboard / lightly colored wall / co-worker's retina.
Apple! Gads, how could I forget about that? They had them in all the elementary schools...how much paid-for-with-my-parents'-taxes public education I must have wasted on Oregon Trail...

How sensitive will these be to magnetism, static, etc., compared to a normal transistor-based chip? Will exposure to an EMP or other magnetic disturbance (say, my subwoofer) destroy them, or simply cause a crash? I would think it would be difficult to provide sufficient shielding within a reasonably small package.
Did submitter not read the footnote for '**'? That player didn't win in 10.01 seconds, they died halfway through the level. Didn't you find it odd that the fastest time also had the lowest score? I can understand people replying who don't do it, but I would think that at least the submitter could take the time to RTFA.
retarded? Or are they just trying to hurt Google? The government asked many search engines for private data, and several just rolled over and gave it up, without thinking twice. Google resisted, and now Time paints them as the ones we should reconsider trusting? WTF?!
I'm a huge music freak, I listen to all kinds of stuff all through my workday nonstop. And listening to those samples...geez. If they could make that software into a truly effective network monitor (for instance, add an instrument for Snort rules going off), I could so spend my day just listening. It's actually quite nice, relaxing music.
Why would it matter that IBM is coming out with a cool new chip design? There are other reasons for making the switch than pure processing power. Intel is a strong player in the market, and has been for a very long time. They're a safe bet. Plus, moving to Apple's move to x86 has got to have the makers of various bits of software, drivers, etc. breathing a sigh of relief. It's one less thing to have to worry about. I find a 'switch back' unlikely, and I don't see much chance of IBM stealing market with the new chips. At best, Apple will use the new chips in XServe servers, and even that might not materialize...they would likely be pressured by both IBM and Intel to use exclusively one type of processor, not to mention the OS X developers.
Once again, I brink up Eve Online on a subject under games...I swear I don't work for them, tho.:P They have two great means of this. 1, players can set standings for how they view any player, corporation (think guild), alliance, faction, or what have you. The can rate some(one/thing) on a scale of -10 to +10. At any time you can look at another character's standings to see what PC's, NPC's, Corps, factions, alliances, etc., like or dislike them. Also, committing illegal acts in secure / semi-secure space results in a decreased standing with Concorde (NPC Police), which gives a highlight to their nick. Eventually, if that standing gets too low, the police will shoot on sight if the person is found in too high a security zone, depending on how bad the standing is. The second way that you can deal with people you don't like is with bounties. If you've got the dough, you can place a bounty on somebody's head and it will be visible to all players that they are wanted. If they have good (or not horrible, at least) standing with Concorde, shooting them will still be illegal in secure space, but for the right price...well, you get the idea. You would think that this feature would be heavily abused, but in fact it's not. It's not especially difficult to get a bounty off your head (just have somebody kill you...note however that clones get expensive, so it's only worth it if the bounty is higher than the cost of your clone), but it is still a moderately effective tool. Another interesting note is that some have mentioned loot thieves. As of last expansion, if you loot something from somebody else's kill, they have kill rights on you for the next hour, regardless of security level. And last of note, unless you are in the most secure (and therefore, least profitable / exciting) sectors, it is not overly difficult for somebody to kill you if you piss of the wrong person. Oh, and did I mention PC corps can declare war on each other, and thereafter kill opposing corp members, regardless of security level? Mmmyesh. All in all, the game deals beautifully with asshats.
A database of 1-2k reactions? Stupid. For one thing, a vastly larger database would be simple. But more importantly, couldn't it just be calculated? Maybe not with perfect atom precision, of course, but I do recall calculating and being able to make moderately reasonable guesses about what would happen when to chemicals were mixed under certain conditions using horrible formulas in H.S. chemistry...but couldn't a computer eat those formulas alive?
Broussard probably doesn't know shit from sugar about what's critical in the game's production. [Broussard] How's it coming? [Developers] Well...we're almost done with the models, and totally finished with the guns, but... [Broussard] Great! So we must be almost done, I mean, that's all games like this are...guns and models, right? I'm gonna go do a press release! [Developers] *Facepalm*
I drink energy drinks all the time, and try new ones every chance I get. My verdict:
Definitely 'Venom', though I can never seem to find it any more. The taste was incredible, with a bit of a bite to it. It always snapped me awake instantly, due to the taste. I drink a 24oz Rockstar just about every day now, but I think that the Jolt in the green can is pretty damned good too, thanks to the very mild taste, albeit a bit dangerous. Those lids will just -blow- off sometimes when you open them. Prolly something to do with elevation, as I'm at approx. 6800ft here. Coca-Cola's 'Full Throttle' is pretty good too, but a tad too sweet for me to drink regularly. Tastes like gummy worms, I swear...
Yes, itegration is a marvelous and novel concept we should all be pushing for. What great genius Google has for trying to become an OS manufacturer with it's own software integrated into the system, which is totally unlike Microsoft and it's Internet Explorer...

w00t!
That's matchbox. Clever little twist of words, too, since many people (like you) will read it as matchbook and assume it's smaller.

"application may come in the form of a battery-operated, portable neutron generator"
Wait, what? We finally got cold fusion, but 'batteries not included'?
