Unfortunately, the Elanee (the druid) is your only source of healing until you get the Gith Cleric much later in the game. And I don't think you'd like Qara (the trigger happy sorceress) if you played on D&D hardcore rules (where that damn fireball she over-casts tends to do more damage to your party than to the enemies).
There are a number of hideous bugs with this game that, quite frankly, distract almost too much from the overall game. The multiplayer version isn't even playable - as soon as you leave West Harbor to go to the first Tavern, the game immediately crashes. I expect a few bugs to be shipped, but did they even play the game before they shipped?
Another thing they haven't gotten down yet is the spell scaling. I need to manually grab control of my casters every round and tell them what to do (Qara: You have other spells besides Fireball. Elanee: I gave you Natural Spell and Combat Casting for a reason). There's also the issue with modes: If you don't remember activate Combat Casting right away, it will wait until after you've cast your next three spells before arbitrarily deciding to activate it (assuming you're even alive by then).
It's still a fun game, but I'll be even more impressed in a couple of years when Atari and Obsideon finally get the bugs worked out.
You see, what happened was that Cingular advertised they had a dropped call rate of.10%. They ran the numbers, which were 5 dropped calls per 50, divided 5 by 50, came up with.10, and congratulated themselves on a job well done!
You make a good point in that Silly String Incorporated could do the research themselves, and would probably be more efficient about it than anyone else. However, with the exception of camping / outdoor-sy stuff and avionics equipment, not very much stuff defined to Military Standards is sellable as a product. Would you pay 2x more for a can of silly string with a thicker can and a different formula (which works the same, as far as you could tell)?
If Lockheed did make it, it would be glow-in-the dark for night time use, would be packaged in such a way so that it didn't explode (throwing shrapnel everywhere) if it got punctured, and would use a chemical so that the cans wouldn't explode if they heated up to 120 degrees in the Iraqi sun.
And yes, there would be a steep price tag because there would be a very limited volume (only 140,000 troops in Iraq), and they'd have to recoup R&D costs. Different rules apply in the military.
I want to pay extra money for something that probably won't work very well (draft spec) and probably won't work at all with other 802.11n devices at all once they adhere to the real spec.
Interesting. I was wondering where they pulled that spec out of. My next question is: If they based this one off of metric, why did they base the other one off of Old English?
Mod parent up. Visual Studio is one thing that Microsoft does well. Eclipse is great for Java. If you want to do C / C++, you have to use CDT. It's not so bad, but it's not on par with Visual Studio. KDevelop - If you look in Article 7, Section 8, Paragraph 27 of the Geneva Convention, you'll notice that you can't legal be forced to use KDevelop. Emacs - I found a faster text editor with the same features of emacs: "wine/opt/winc/Windows/notepad.exe".
Also: My guild forced my priest to spec to holy. Am I now eligible for welfare since I can't farm as well as I used to? Can I get food stamps to pay for my Morning Glory Dew? If my guild kicks me out, can I sue them for alimony until I find a new guild?
Hopefully he has some sort of supervisor that you can report this to. He's wasting company time doing that. Unless you work somewhere that being 'Team Player' is given more importance that a concept I call 'Getting Work Done'. In which case, you should be wasting your time on monster.com instead of slashdot.org
Or you can do what I do: Headphones + Viking Death Metal.
But you're probably an hourly employee. These guys were probably saleried developers who slowly fell into the trap of working "Just an hour later to get this project done on time".
It's a slippery slope. Once your boss knows that you'll work the 50 hour week, he'll task you until you're working that on a regular basis.

I can't remember where I read it, but someone once said that the best evidence that time travel into the past isn't possible is the sheer lack of tourists from the future.
Maybe it's that way because we don't have a time machine yet, and they don't want to be making a one-way trip.
Or we'll all be raptured in a few years, and so we don't have time to develop it.
+25 strength<p> +25 stamina<p> Equip: All melee damage increased by 50%<p>
This never made it out of beta. Apparently, there were a number incidents of hunters thinking it was a hunter weapon, and rolling need on it. The server crashed due to an excessive number of "Roll a damn warrior already!!!111" posts in the LookingForGroup channel.

Follow your dreams. You can meet your goals. I am living proof. Beefcake! BEEFCAKE!

Google is making a full-featured Operating System?
I know you're trying to make a point, but Celine Dion isn't quite THAT bad.

Now I'm off to buy some more SCO stock!

The Debunker who debunked the debunker has been debunked.
You'll find that's a hazard on Earth as well. And it leads to some embarrassing questions from the EMTs, let me tell you...
I'm tagging this one "manybothansdiedtobringusthisinformation" instead.
Perhaps they're gearing up for Microsoft Linux.
