This actully makes a lot of sence. A friend of mine worked at AOL a while back and you wern't allowed to bring any electrical equip in with you becauase of the sensitive information you had access to.

Now of course, this wouldn't stop everyone just think, our very own Think Geek has usb WATCHES, not something you'd look for. So, having this sort of feature is not really a bad idea after all. It'll probably be selective too so you could decide what sort of devices to all, some people use external Hard drives all the time for extra storage.

I don't see how this really changes anything. Either way, once the patch is released from what this guy is saying is that an exploit will come out in not much time. He's basically just saying to release the patch at a later date, I don't see any real reason however to justify his reasoning. How do you expect to get the problem patched at all if you just don't release the patch? To me to seems like with this reasoning the man is using we could just forever delay all patches.

AMD has directly confirmed that your warranty is void if you use any type of thermal grease other than Shin Estu G 749. AMD also provides their reasoning for this rule.

What a lot of people seem to be forgetting is the user base. A lot of people don't know what compile even means, let alone a compiler is. Sure, even if the source is released (assuming the publishers choose o-step) what percent of the user base of a given game will know how to compile it. Or let alone, have the bandwith to download the sources.

If you really do like a game that just went gold, why bother waiting for the source anyway? Purchase it, that way the community can get to the source sooner and we can hack it away. Or, if you are a poor/cheap ass, go and P2P it, but remember -- that'd be wrong =)
