Can we please get a good summary on some articles?
1) The basis for the OP was a footnote found by the ACLU, not as mentioned in summary, in a seperate document. The document that the headline makes reference of is at this time being requested.
2) The name of the document containing the response is entitled "Authority for Use of Military Force to Combat Terrorist Activities Within the United States.", this the name given in the footnote.
3) The document was written at the request of the White House, shortly after 9/11, when they had asked the Justice departmant what could legally be done in response to another terrorist attack on US territory.
4) The response was with respect to the military only and with terrorist on US territory. Exactly what type of military operation was being performed is currently not known.
5) It was not used as the legal under pinning for wiretapes and data mining. As has already been known for a long time the allowance for this refered to other laws.
6) The paper was over turned internally, time when done internally is unknown but the easliest known record of statements refutting this paper are from 2003. Additional ones exist from 2006.
Wow you are really out there.
Now claiming that the USA sold Iraq sarin nerve agent and musard gas for use in a war. Are you also in the group of progressives that say it was the USA, with Iraqs approval, that used chemical agents against the Kurds?
Provided you are not a federal agency, deal with financial & tax information or health information there is no US law, until you get a suspenia to produce the info then you are required to safeguard the info, that requires that you to store mail or most of the information that companies keep. There have been some pushes to require companies to store some information but even then they are talking about 3 years.
Looking at the company, it is more an organization, they would have no legal reason to keep the information and even less of a reason for the program to be written to store the information.

If he was interested in human rights we would release the text since knowing the information would help free the people being charged in the lawsuits or it would prove that something wrong was done and make sure those people had no chance of doing the same thing in the future.
Instead he stored the messages for some personnal or business reason.
'Clear and Present Danger' is a AP news feed.
'Muslims Have Overtaken Us' is a Reuters news feed.
'Should She Stay or Go? (about Hillary Clinton)' is from a talk show featuring a few news paper journalists a Barak supporter and a Hillary supporter.
Since those are examples of your definition of 'Right-wing propaganda piece' then you really need to start reading stuff besides dailykos and huffington post and thier cheers whenever a member of the US government is in danger or yet another call by them that the jews be destroied.
It was not an agreement it was a condition of the license and to waive that has not been decided upon. That is up to the FCC to decide if the condition of the license will be waived. The wording of the condition is that single company cannot hold both licenses for satelitte broadcasting. Since there is no one really wanting the extra license there is probably not going to be much problem on this. They will probably be forced to merge thier service, over time, and free up the other license.
But anyways what you said had nothing to do with this decision. This was about if allow the two companies to merge would create a monopoly. Based on usage, alternate forms of content availability and the way current users use the product it was decide it would not.
If the item shown in the article is the "provenance" then it does not qualify.
A real provenance needs to make specific reference to the article and have specific and traceable details about the past owners. This looks to be just a quick history of the painter, if it was the correct painter. There is nothing that directly relates to the painting or who the painting is of.
As for the subject I presume they would of done a quick search of the subject, the painter, Frank Stone ARA, is fairly famous for his painting and mainly for being the father of Marcus Stone. Marcus was really famous in his time and was a close friend of Charles Dickens. Any search for Ada Byron links right to a history of her. So you have a painter who has some name recognition and a named subject who is easy to research; tie that in with a tech savy, sells on ebay(tech savy may be a strech) but aleast is capable of doing some searching.
This is a definite conflict of interest. Czech Republic has the highest world consumption per capita of beer at 156 liters per person. Compared to Germany at 119, UK at 99 and the whimpy US drinking our watered down p*ss at 82 liters per person.
According to the majority of economic scientists the reason for the high price of oil is speculation. With the amount of oil being pumped, OPEC and others refusing to increase production; the US refusing to use thier own resources, the cost should be in the $70-$80 range.
Currently the amount of processed fuel is at a 15 year high and oil usage is down from last year(high prices).
However you have a worldwide housing market, it is not just the US it is various countries in Europe and Asian who are in the same trouble you hear about in the US. The people, companies and investment funds who would be investing in real estate are moving thier millions to oil and gold.
It was going on before then it was just that the USPATRIOT law required that the FBI keep track and report the problem.
What most people don't know is that the USPATRIOT act for the most part just added terrorism and spying against the USA as reason that actions from previous laws could be used. In addition it codified various executive orders from the mid-90s and before, made them law and then required tracking and reporting of them.
The infant mortality rate as it is currently counted is worthless for comparisons.
The problem is that the US considers any child removed from the womb that shows a sign a life or self movement as being born, so thier death counts against infant mortality. Most other countries require additional things such being above a certain height or weight(common in Europe) to being seperated from the mum for a min of 24 hours to multiple days in some countries.
The other problem are premature births, current the ratio is something like 1 in 8 births is premature. In the US and other first/second class countries were the medical technology is ample those kids are being born, the reason why some countries have the height/weight requirement. So because of the technology you know have doctors birthing a premature kid and taking that chance that it will live, where in the past it would of died in the womb(like what happens in Cuba), so with an increase of technology you get a spike in infant deaths.
Abortions do not count against the mortality rate since the child is considered to not have left the womb.
The housing bubble is an interesting case and shows really what the government cannot do.
The bubble started in 1998 time period when housing morgages denial rates started to drop, the push by politicians to have banks approve more subprime mortgages, along with other factors. It really got going in 2000-2001 period because of the crash of the dot com bubble, lot of money taken out of stocks and put into housing, the rise of the flipping craze and the only thing the federal government can take credit for lowering interest rates.
As for the the Bush administration telling us to save you do have a couple of speechs from him telling that along with various reports and speechs from the Bush appointees warning about the housing market crashing back in 2005. Do we really want a federal government that does more in that area then warn when nothing had actually happened? Should they have made banks tell people that they were to dumb to understand a house market and for that reason they were not getting a loan? Besides what could the federal government do besides raise interest rates and make subprime and Alt-A mortgages illegal, and it was politicians who were pushing the banks to do start making more of theses available back in the 90s. As with all bubbles they are going to pop.
So back to what did Bush do about the mortgage crash he help caused it by lowering interest rates he did the same thing that was done to stop the dot com bubble, nothing but let market forces take control.
Clinton order the US military to attack over 15 different countries over 5 of them with no other attempts to solve the problem. So far Bush has attack around 4, 2 where weeksor years of negotiating was done, the other 2 have been at the request of the legal government. The US is at this time in a war stance with over 5 of countries that Clinton order attacked.
Based on leaving the country in better shape I guess you mean economy, the US still has a better economy under Bush then at Clinton and Clinton had the dot com bubble. Clinton had nothing to do with the dot com bubble and Bush does not have anything to do the house market. The thing economy wise the US was better at would be the exchange rate, the dot com bubble was nice.
Will give you managing the country, he basically signed everything the conservative congress send to him. Now we have a president who is just pushing liberal ideas and getting them signed by a liberal congress.
He is a better speaker but what is there to indicate he was smarter, well except for him accepting the conservative laws pushed by Congress?
It wasn't the domain name it was the 'To' email address. The owner of mildenhall.com had it setup so all email address went to a single, or a couple, email boxes so send email to Iknowthisisanonusedemailaddress@mildenhall.com would be received by the owner.
The air force solution was to block all but the email addresses the owner of the site knew were valid and being using on the site.
It may of been written in asp.net but whoever modified thier scrollbars to act the way they do should have thier hands removed with a dull spoon just to make sure they never do a web page ever again.
The problem using the mssingkids.org site vs others is that missingkids.org is good at defining what they are talking about.
They actually define with online sexual exploitation, just before the the numbers the article quotes.
What is online child sexual exploitation?
Online exploitation is exposing a child to unwanted sexual content or unwanted material via the Internet and uninvited requests for sexual conversations. Online sexual exploitation includes employing, using, persuading, inducing, enticing, or coercing a minor to engage in any sexually explicit conduct for the purpose of producing any visual depiction of such conduct.
Further checking their site finds definitions and explanations for all the numbers they put out.
The problem you have is that mainstream news wants rating so they take items and change them as indicated in this article.
If you want some examples of the organizations spreading false numbers how about:
NOW and their most domestic violence takes place on superbowl sunday.
Anti-gun groups and their statements that you are one in three times more likely to be killed if you law abiding gun owner than not owning a gun.
1) There is no need to do that and if you wanted to prove we still had working 1980s technology it would be better to do it when the satellite was up higher.
2) If that was the case they could of just said we are doing this to protect US technology. no conspiracies, no questions. Besides they know at some time theses things will come down so I would guess they design them to make sure the really secure parts will be destroied.
If you remove those case then the only reason is the fuel is hte possible problem. From what people who work on these things say the fuel tanks do have a bunch of heat protection so it was not a sure thing it would not survive.
Now when you die alone in your studio apartment the decomposing of your brain will be interpreted as commands, further delaying the chance that someone will alert the police that something is wrong.
From what I heard in another report people are purchasing the phone from legal sources but not doing the activation. Since activation is a seperate step it is easy to bypass. They then apply the various hacks and use them on thier networks.
So they are devices legally purchased, so they get counted as sales.
That is why they are considered grey market, they are a legal product being used in an area where the manufacturer does not provide support or authorize thier sale.
On the Thames River freezing....
When this is talked about most people mean in London, parts of the river still freeze today. But with London you have records of it freezing around 5 times in under a century, and the Londonites holding fests on the ice. The one thing similar to all those years was not extreme cold temperatures but that the Thames was blocked off during those years. So here you actually do see human acts causing the freezing of the Thames.
According to what they say if they would do the blocking off in modern time would not cause the Thames to freeze but that is because the Thames use to be wider and shallower. However restore the Thames to old conditions, block it off and it would freeze again.
You Katrina comment is part of the problem. You are believing these made up relationship and ignoring the scientificdata.
Also with gas prices the US is higher then some Europian countries once you eliminate the taxes.

that is per year :)
