Ahh... online gaming, how I've tried to love ye. Really tried. But you're just not doing it for me. It's not like I don't want to, I mean, those bigger boys said you would, you know, show me a good time. The sorry fact is, on the occasions when I have taken the plunge, and invited you to woo me, I've come away disappointed and flacid. No matter how hard I pump my enthusiasm gland, the most I can muster is a tiny dribble of interest from my curiosity duct. Meanwhile, my apathy anus is working overtime, pumping out a stream of rancid fumes, accompanied by an undulating, organic hiss.
Well seeing as it doesn't spread by hardware (eg floppy disks), that means that there *is* a connection between the ATMs and the main net. Seeing as they
a) run windows b) don't tell the firewall to block port 135
I'd say were all screwed as soon as someone guesses the magic IP address of the linking computer..
There *is* a photoshop import / export plugin, but I haven't got it to work yet - even simple single layer images get screwed up. I've got the import to work though - once....
Quake 1 / 2 and most of the earlier games are GPL, you only pay for the data files. Make sure to give away a shareware chapter so we can see what it's like:)
You're still being too sensible - I mean it LITERALLY:
1) get drunk (LITERALLY) 2) go through the digestive system 3) get pissed (LITERALLY)
Like I say - very few people would mean it that way, but seeing as the most common use of "drunk" is the past tense of drink (ie, to drink a liquid), the computer would learn that meaning and take it literally, even when applied to a person:
a) The lemonade got drunk. b) My friend got drunk.
o) It's windows only, and WINE won't run the main thing o) The self extractors it creates *do* run under wine - so if you get a.7z file and you're on linux, do `cat 7z.sfx file.7z > newfile.exe` (7z.sfx being the self-extraction header) o) I want a native linux version!
They can go and get *paid* for working on professional open source projects, ie adding proprietry extensions *, or adding features a company wants into the main build.
* According to the GPL so long as the company you write it for doesn't distribute the binary, they don't have to give up the source either.
erm... if you add one byte, you get another 255x the address space. IIRC IPv6 uses six bytes instead of four, so you'll be getting 65535x the current address space.

From the edge of a playstation CD:
"Unauthorised copying, adaption, rental, lending, distribution, extraction, [another 100 synonyms for neighbourly sharing], access or use of this product or any trademark or copyright work that forms part of this product are prohibited."
You can't even use your own games without authorisation!

SCO's forum 2003 took place in vegas...
That's because the game's set to be ready in "exactly 400 years". from now. or now. I forget which :(

So paying a VB script kiddie to make something shiny costs less than getting a java guru to make something that works? wow!

I'm a fan of 192.168, but my school something like has thus:
Main server 90.0.0.0
Room 1 main: 90.0.1.0
Room 1 boxes: 90.0.1.*
Room 2 main: 90.0.2.0
Room 2 boxes: 90.0.2.*
Room 3 main: 90.0.3.0
Room 3 boxes: 90.0.3.*
Is this scheme phuX0red, or some netware specific thing? It's been buging me for a while, so any explanations appreciated...

I'm just trying to get stuff from my house to the art dept without having to save each layer as a seperate image :)

I'm a programmer mostly, but unfortunately getting The GIMP's PS plugin working keeps getting pushed further down my to-do list

It affects your body chemistry, so it's a drug

yes, it can.
> BeerAdvocate.com begs to differ
No they don't. The govt say beer is a drug (good drug or bad drug is unspecified), beeradvocate say's it's a good drug.
Just because something is a drug doesn't mean it can't be healthy

Gramatically speaking, what's the difference?
> I urinated is 'I pissed'
:P
Not "I urinated", but "I got urinated" - how could it tell?
Also I sometimes say "I'm pissed" (no 'off') when I'm angry, and I'm british. Although as I just pointed out, that could mean "I'm urinated"
What happens when it hits a word with several meanings? For example the reply to a previous story "I got pissed and installed OSX"
drunk?
angry?
urinated?

IPv4 = 255.255.255.255 = 4228250625 (4 thousand million)
IPv6 = 255.255.255.255.255.255 = 274941996890625 (274 million million)
I use millions because IIRC the US has different sized billions to everyone else...
Sure there's still addresses reserved to be cut out from that, but not *that* many.
Maybe you guys didn't notice - IT'S A JOKE.
