but.. you gotta worry about that bear in the woods too. A grizzly can be very distracting.

I live out in the country mostly. It's building up some but still, when our family visits from the city they hear all kinds of strange sounds to them at night in the summer. In the day time kids will throw rocks constantly because they sure don't get to do that in the city. I dunno the country can be distracting too plus unless you are rich, you have to have some survival training, like living without money at times. In the city you loose a job, there are more. In the country there are not that many.

There is probably even more of a drug problem out here too. No gangs but everyone on something.

BTW when I went to Boston I felt quite safe and not distracted at all. I dunno about these studies? I would like to become a grant writer so that I could get money for studying all kinds of foolishness. I think you can do that out in the country too.

I don't think this will work in the long run. WalMart sells most of their music for them. They will give the labels problems if Apple doesn't. People that want to make new music promote it yourself. I'll look for it and buy that. I already own and have made copies of the old stuff the labels are trying to resell again and again. No more tricks. I'm not playing their games no more. I wont buy it, listen to it, or steal it. I'll just go for the independents. Their stuff sounds better now anyhow.

Full always at night if time is not an issue. Off site one a week. If you have a fire take out your business you have to decide how much time you can loose. I have experienced this with few backups. We rebuilt everything from scratch and got rid of a lot of crap at the same time. We decided a week max. with only 30 employees.

If you gotta be on all the time (1000 employees) though then fiber to another building is the way to go.

Tape is still the way to go though and will probably be so till I'm dead. It just will not die.

Well in the US, normally that would be an easement negotiated way before you were born to bring power to someones home. Then the telcos, cable company, have to be granted fair use of that pole too but they have to pay the power company for that right.

I don't think that there is anything to stop you from building your own network and putting it right under theirs unless the local government made some kind of exclusive deal, which I would think they could pass a law and change that if you want.
