Actually sharing an office does have its benefits...
I mean when was the last time I smelled my office mates fart and said, "Thanks John! I was really feeling unproductive but you just gave me the extra 'kick' that I needed...":-)
Thank you for calling Toshiba technical support...Please listen carefully our menu has changed...Press 1 for laptops, Press 2 for televisions, Press 3 for DVD players, Press 4 for Nuclear reactors....
While many think this is a long way off, I believe teleportation will change how we view not only space exploration but everyday travel on Earth itself.
Those crazy physicists are trying a bottom up solution to teleportation - trying to create/destroy little bits of matter, the whole Alice-Bob deal. I say NOOOOOO! and suggest a top-down approach.
Lets figure out how an object moves in space - I bet the answer to teleportation is much simplier than many think.

As I was reading the Google Zeitgeist I came across a link to the various logos that Google has used during various holidays and events throughout the years. I didn't realize how many there were.

Playing other old DOS based games

Ultima 7 in Windows?

There are a bunch of other great classic DOS based games out there (Kings Quest/Space Quest/Police Quest series). It seems every time I try to run them on my newer Pentium 3 Windows XP based system there is always a compatibility issue. No sound, missing graphics, running too fast seem to be the problems that always arise.
Is there a good utility/DOS emulator out there that can make my newer system run these great games? I have both Linux and Windows XP professional.
Not only does it cause a kernal panic, but it slaps the user on the head and asks them, "Why the heck did you create a directory with the same name as the current directory????"
Here are the two things I've learned from reading the posts on Windows vs. Linux
1) Windows is the dominant player in the world of operating systems.
2) People who use Linux can argue and debate MUCH better than people who use Windows:-)
Yeah but didn't Australia have a problem with motorcycle gangs in the 80's.
I can't remember the names of the gangs, but Mel Gibson seems to come to mind...:-)
And I thought I was cool when I found my book using the Dewey Decimal System :-)

Well at least he had the balls to post it... :-)
Its almost like George wanted us to feel stranded without these DVD's.
:-)
I wonder if this is how Luke felt when he wanted to go to Toshi Station and pick up some power converters...
I think the hackers/crackers have released a no-CD fix for it.
Those silly hackers!
Hey wait a minute - it does look kinda like Bill Gates under the O in todays Halloween Google image.
Those silly Google guys!
I can see it now...

*sigh*
So I installed iTunes for Windows and it works great....
Was it me or was anyone else feeling a little weird as the installation was going on?
Almost felt like my Windows box going on its first date or losing its virginity...
Whats the best P2P app though..Is it Kazaa???
This might be along the same vein as those companies that can take information extracted your DNA and created an artwork from it.
Now what if someone else painted the artwork by hand.
Could you sue them?
Check out the Rubiks cube solver made entirely out of Lego's.

Even uses a cam to figure out what is on each of the cubes faces!
Use the Force Luke!
(sorry couldn't resist)
I would suggest running Linux instead of Solaris.
I guess the secret to saving money is not paying extra for bandwidth and database connections :-)

Well this is a info.txt file afterall :-)
Last time I checked text files use 8 bits per character.
3.14
So if I did my math correctly:
:-)
1240000000000 characters * 8 bits/character = 9920000000000 bytes
9920000000000 bytes/ 1024000 = 9687500 MB
9687500 MB = 9.6875 TB
Thats a pretty darn big info.txt file!
I think I'll just use the 32 byte version for my SIG.

Yes but they do give a little back with the free ketchup and straws. Its always amazed how many places don't charge for ketchup and other "extras".
Fight those crazy port blockers and start a file sharing club! It can meet every Wednesday night at the library.
Hmmmmm....
