    When going to the download section of the site, I just get a message saying something like "You need to run Windows 98SE or higher, we have no intention on making this work on other OS's so screw you". But I'm running Linux, which is definitely higher than Windows 98SE!

    I use Mandrake as my main desktop workstation also. I run debian and redhat on servers. Using mandrake doesn't make you a newbie, it makes you someone that needs to get work done without endless time for tweaking!

    I'm a developer and a previous textpad user... but I switched to jedit, which has all the features (via extra downloadable plugin modules) and it's completely free. I've never looked back. Even beats bbedit on mac in my opinion.

    You think I'm a student? I graduated from university 8 years ago and have been working in the IT field since. I own 2 dvd players but I like to sometime watch movies in a window on my linux desktop while I code.

    I have a decent 2Mpixel fuji finepix camera with 6x optical zoom and I can't see needing anything better in the near future. Prints come out great. Why the heck do I want to take 6-8 Mpixels pictures anyway? I'm no professional photographer and I don't feel like filling up my 120Gig hard drive that quickly.

    I work as programmer for an advertising company and am only getting a measly $38,000 / year. And that's Canadian dollars. I've been working in this field for close to ten years now and I'm still making crap wages.

    The 10.2 version will have most of the bugs ironed-out (before they come out with 11.0). The .0 versions are always a bit whack.
