    Repeating this will not make it true -in context-

    Yeah, sure, on a test track in controlled conditions if you go 70mph and push the brakes hard your car might stop dead even with WOT. (and accessorily your name is 'Stig' 'Clarkson', 'May' or... 'Hamster')

    But on the highway, stuck with WOT, you don't think 'Iwant to stop dead NOW' which might kill you as efficiently as speeding. (remember that little line in the rule book aboot minimum speed limit). Your car not beeing on fire, most people think 'i need to slow down a bit' and brake a little, then more, then the brake heats up, progressively losing braking power. Then... they don't brake anymore.

    I'm sure your limited window of thinking make you a prime candidate to work for a Toyota engineering team. But you and they fail to realise that preparing for hardware failure is useless if you don't work first on the psychology behind human reaction to crisis.

    As someone still using his 1999 Powermac G4... I agree... No failure of anything. And in 10 years it was off only for the 2 month needed to ship it from europ to japan when I moved.

    Sure I upgraded the HD, the old one is now external in a USB box. I put more ram and a proc upgrade card. All the old parts are still working and stored somewhere. I would not even expect this life expectancy from a car.

    Agreed... SYBA is one of those shittiest brand around for no good reason. Their are notorious for design flaw... like basic design flaws. Last time I tried to use their fire wire pci car for networking the result was just pop and smoke, on 3 different cards. Seems they got the power feature design of the firewire bus wrong. Luckily it only fired their cards. Not the MB.

    Do they really use stuff like this for pro installation ?

    Crosscheck for planes with a/p in controlled areas can be up to 10 minutes...

    That means you can schtoup teh waitress and wash your hands without taking any kind of risks.

    Best, usually if you start screwing with the plane attitude, the best way to recover it is to let the control go.

    Even at slow speed in my parking, more than 10 second without my hands on the steering wheel would result in a fender bender.

    Can't compare both. Flying is just too different/much safer.

    It's not aboot the percentage of person killed versus teh number of white Jaguar on the road every tuesday. It's aboot doing something totally unecessary while operating a vehicle. By your thinking, since i've never been in an accident I should not have to wear a seatbelt. Or since my car never burned I should not worry aboot carrying a fire extinguisher...

    Jet fuel is nearly the same as heating fuel. (depend on the jet...) And I like this smell of flight deck in winter when I turn the heater on...
    Heating fuel is the same as diesel fuel. (You can run your heater or your old benz)
    So yeah... jet fuel is not diesel... but it's damn close enough to be used as an emergency fuel in military helo even if the MTBF free fall make it a costly measure (somebody will have to quote tom clancy for me on this one)

    Maybe the problem lies in the fact that AI are programmed just to be opponents. While they should be conceived as game masters in charge 'also' of managing the opponent team but with consideration of the overall gameplay.

    Yeah maybe... I'm a car nut. But i'm also practical and my budget only allow me a "car as a tool" kind of car. So the only 3 things I can tell about it is:
    -it start all the time
    -it's blue
    -It fits all my stuff without drama

    But while I can state by head all the revision of the engine available for an Alpine 310 V6. I don't even know the capacity or the power output of mine. Just that it really don't use a lot.
    (also, that "parking brake instead of a clutch pedal" thing is utter stupidity)
