These multitasking rubbish started when win95 went out of the closet. It has always been a humain behaviour to compare the work of the brain with the work of the machine... Steam, electricity, computer... and... multitasking computer...
Trouble is...
Multitaksing in 95's computers was just being able to open 2 (or more) program at once and let them fight for processor and memory ressources.
Same for the humans... start several things... lets them randomly take more or less priority according to the mood/weather/cat litter color... and then get nothing done while looking extremly busy.
Listening to music is to be set aside. More of the time it provide a -known- life soundtrack, helping to focus more on one thing at a time while still providing the false impression of multitasking. Still a no-no for learning/memory intensive tasks.
You do understand that as far as the Japanese are concerned "much stricter safety requirement" mean not trying to fix it with a hammer for more than an hour before asking someone higher in the hierarchy. They can make simple things right. But operating a nuclear powerplant is still out of the reach of their rice-farmer level corporate mentality.
THEY have a long history of nuclear accident where the trigger was someone acting like a total redneck for no understandable reason. Tokaimura was one of the great example of how far this can go http://www-bcf.usc.edu/~meshkati/tefall99/toki.html
That this article few weeks ago about the german police stating that it's impossible to tap into skype phone calls was actually... rubbish...
GOOD...
This maneuvre is borderline on vulgar, make me want to puke even from the German. Stomping on people privacy with leather boots and browns shoes is one thing. But considering they have sh1t for brain and deserve it is a little to much fo my taste...
By 'more' You mean awfully hairy bush ? Good, I still have nightmare with this...
And I thought Nagoya was pretty hight on the short skirt ranking. (actually, the skirt are not that short, it's just the girls that button them pretty high... close below the brassiere, if any.
Good thing, in winter lots of case of frozen lips... good for the business when you're a gynecologist...
Dude, the other half is only "those wacky japanese" crap...
And the third half (!?) is devoted to half backed attempt at capitalising on the lolcat joke.
In the beginning it was the fake old comics, now the fake history doc...
Talentless attention whoring at its best...
If only I could find the youtube about lolcat in ancient egypt... this one at least was funny...
Yup... already happening... Samsung products are now forbidden of sale in Japan... No more of their excellent PAL/NTSC TV/monitor combo... Patent infrigement of somekind it seems... Didn't knew it was so hard to grease a japanese politician... I think they didn't really try...
Oh yes you do... (nitpick) and I don't know who moderate this as insightfull...
Japanese citizenship is somewhat hard to take. I'm married to a Japanese. So she is 1 form away from beeing French... But in the meantime I'm always granted temporary visa allowing me to stay with her (3 years to be renewed) And for that we have to proof that we have enought income, proper home. health insurance and so on... Hell my cat (French too) is better treated than me. Citizenship, maybe I can ask it, if I stay five year with the same employer or other irrelevant rule like this...
Meanwhile if we were to live in France, it would be the opposite, the simple fact that she can proof that she is married to me give here right to healthcare, unemployement benefits, social help, free school for the kids on so on...
Before you say, "it's their country, they do as they please" Just 1 thing... IT'S MY PLANET AND I WANT THEM TO GET OFF OF IT...
Mostly xenophobic borderline illiterate inbred with rice farmers mentality, most of them only have TV as cultural education but will never miss an occasion to lecture you about anything always starting to yap their rubbish with "We Japanese...". My view might be a little biased as I'm mostly in contact with doctors or scientifics. Maybe people in other profession are more enlightened, smarter or cosmopolitan... The Island os like a cultural and fashion dumpster. Anything can be sold as long as it's marketed as being the latest fashion in Paris or New York, since nobody will check, It will sell like hotcakes. Also don't hope to find anybody speaking another language, be it english, german, french or brazilian (despite the huge community working for Toyota).
Their motto seems to be "only foreigner commit cries in japan, no foreigners, no crimes"
It start to get really old... before the end of the first week...
Dude... that means that only 11% of vista users can actually use vista to surf the web and search troubleshooting tips about vista's other bugs and annoyance... I'm speechless...
Gildas is an old pillard of French TV (married with a tv/radio host around his age), he started being on the air before TV was in color at a time where France was still using 110v for it's appliances. He already manages and is deeply involved in the biggest private TV channel (Canal +). He produce a lot of stuff. He is in no way in need of any publicity for his channel, especially since his vista channel is aimed at French old people. Who never heard of the intarweb and are happy with their minitels.
So the frivolous lawsuit is in this case is really far fetched. He got a product name, want to protect it. He heard of microsoft because he might use it on his fancy color typewriter they gave him at the office. But that's all. I'am not saying he's a poor good guy. He's a business shark. But from the old world and laught at words like neteconomy, VC capitals and may never have heard of the word web 2.0. He make his money the old way, it works for him, its not at his age that he will change.
In europe you are told, when you avoid an accident, to CLEAR the way as much as possible before giving any assistance if you think you might be of any help. We are in a case where there was police cruiser right behind, it was at a place with people working on site and that have access to phone or priority channels with police/firemen or their headquarter. And the car was a fracking fireball. Since toll both have video surveillance it might not even be necessary to stay and give testimony. Absolutly no reason to stay around whatsoever...
Or you can stop get hidden in the smoke and be the first in a pillup...
Yeah, but you don't catch flies with vinegar. The problem is to START rising interests to something in the kids, the fun way. When they are hooked, you can send the pain, book formula and protocols ad-nauseum. It's all about psychology.
Work the same for video -good- games. At first easy to apprehend and fun, after can become harder and challenging. But if it's too hard from the start, you're weeding out your attendance...
As this rule does not apply to Japan Air Lines. They tend to live in an alternate reality. At one point in March I was thinking about making a website called "Jal Weekly Blunder". Not a single week without a plane loosing some stuff in midair, blowing a tire, or opening a door inadvertantly. Better than a ride at Disneyland.
No need for so much research... The commercial with the topless guy humping the floor (git' fit fast) is most of the time the perfect warning label against junk news website...
I fully agree with you, and propose that we put every one in prison with hands tieds in their backs in order to prevent them from doing any harm to any body.
Because, putting everyone to jail open up to abuse, but it might save another person's life.
As a semi-libertarian I know that blahhh blahhh... Slavery is freedom.. blahh blahhh...
WAIT...
How did this get modded insightfull ? it's beyond my understanding...
Cool... the wapanese are moderating again...
