    Cant be as bad as Rite Aid, they require the management at the store to leave the computers, terminals AND EVERY light on even when the store is closed and empty.

    They say its to help deter someone from breaking into the store and trying to steal stuff.....which im sure if you did the numbers would actually cost the company more to leave everything on, than to have a theft every once in a while....

    Do lights really stop break-ins?

    AdMuncher is one of those random 3rd party popupblockers (and many other features) piece of software...

    this vuln doesnt work with admuncher running

    but the vuln works without it running...

    so no worries for me!

    this just reminds me of how they give you those "starter" ink cart. when you first buy the printer, some tell you, some dont...

    had a brother fax machine at work once... "this is a sample toner cart. that will only make around 40 faxes" wtf? cheap ass brother...

    I used to work in a retail store, I wonder if thats that store, heh

    I always hated getting our stuff riped of by kids or adults for that matter...so i started to get creative witht he lil EAS tags we used..its amzing how many kids try to steal those card game things pokemon or whatver it is...so i started to go around the entire store and put things on random items in very strange places to bug those pesky shoplifters

    Wasn't a book published, under Tom Clancy's name (im pretty sure he didn't actually write any of it) in the Net Force series dealing with a creation of a online community? Except that community did create its own goverment, its own everything and tried to make itself a real country or a real state, and not abide by the US laws? How soon will it be before it comes to this? -pix

    I mean, for number crunching and math and calcs, the mac seems to rule close to the top...

    I don' t know why this wasn't mentioned by anyone else, but its a great app. works good in OS X, very few bugs (if any).

    Its not too pricy and its fun to use and pretty dang good, i use it, and im a totally n00b when it comes to 3D stuff too.. i totally recommend it http://www.e-onsoftware.com

    I remember reading somewhere about ingress and egress filtering on outer routers. If the ISPs ad big providers would do this as many ppl have suggested (even the damn gov) wouldn't that solve most of the problems like this and prevent DDoS from happening as often? Is that how VeriSign was able to stay up during the attack? Just curious....

    isn't the system that google uses better than the pay system Yahoo does? Yahoo searches have been coming up with some really whacked results, that are totally wrong (ie whoever payed more...) just my $.02

    actaully the government takes above i think 5000 ft, (maybe a different height) because they dont you think you need anymore than that for personal use. and yes, airlines only over land they are allowed to, and they only fly down to certain heights that they are allowed to. to answer your question

    When you own the land that your house or office sits on, the stuff on that land is yours. With owning the land, you also own the land "beneath" you and the air space above your house. How long will it take for someone to take this up in a court saying its illegel to steal the network "above" your property? just my $.02

    if they do that, then the DOJ can't claim microsoft has a monopoly on the operating system market.... thats one of the big points people have been arguing about why apple doesn't want to port. just what i read somewhere...
