>You can't decide that a specific artist shouldn't get money for their work, it's up to them.
it's not that black and white. if someone copies a song that doesn't mean he has decided that the artist is not allowed to make money with their work. I copy quite a few CDs (and that's legal here in the netherlands, whether you borrowed the CD/DVD, rented it from a library or downloaded it), and dont want to pay for CDs. I will gladly pay to see a concert however, and regularly buy one of the band's t-shirts (usually straight from the band).
a team member of this idiot caused an accident in the 2007 gumball rally, killing a 67yr old man and his wife, both from macedonia. they fled the scene in the other team polizei car, abandoning the victims, and tried to flee the country. they were arrested at the border of albania. you don't have to guess.
what a waste. give that F40 a new paint-job, and you have a pretty fast police pursuit vehicle to catch the next lamborghini. thank you, have a nice day.

good thing that downloading movies is completely legal for me, and the same goes for music. I'm an honest consumer of pirated movies and music.
I'm all in favour of government provided services: there's been much abuse of private data by private parties. I agree with your points, but my conclusion is different: there are a lot more safeguards to control a government than there are to control what a private company does with the data it gathers.
until 1979 Iran was quite friendly with the US, under the shah who was brought to power by a CIA backed coup (the US has apologized for this act in 2000). there are definately grounds for iran and its citizens to intensely dislike the US. the backing of saddam hussein during the iran-iraq war was another reason. the US has a history in iran and other countries of interfering with governments if they're not friendly enough. wikipedia has a lot more info.
the EU has a copyright directive. it's up to the individual countries to make it into a national law, so copyright law still differs across countries in the EU.
whatever gave you the idea that you have the right to go at the maximum speed allowed? if someone in front of you is driving slower, just wait until you can safely pass them. otherwise: tough. if I want to drive 100 km/h where 120 is allowed, I can do that and I'm not going out of my way because someone behind me wants to be home 30 seconds earlier.
although you're right, many of the latin-alphabet countries have at least some 'unique' letters, mostly ligatures, like the german ringel S(long S/short S ligature) and the dutch 'long y' (i/j ligature and different from the y). many of these letters don't appear in the alfabet itself.
the difference being that islamist lashed out against almost the entire press, whereas the murder of van Gogh was directed against a single target. the impact of thousands of threats against 'the press' is bigger than the murder of one columnist who tried to polarize society against an entire religious group.
a single murder does not equate to a non-free press. it wasn't a political murder, it was a personal thing because of many, many insults by mr. van Gogh. I don't agree with the killing, but legal action against Theo van Gogh was most certainly justified.

fullblown, classical autism isn't overlooked but other autism spectrum disorders like ADD, ADHD and asperger's syndrome (I was diagnosed with asperger's at 31) come to light a lot more often. asperger's was hardly even known when I was a kid. there has been quite a lot of research into autism spectrum disorders since then.
the fact that israel is just around the corner ofcourse helps too. unlike iran, israel has a history of aggression against political opponents, both inside and outside of its disputed borders.
ofcourse you're toally ignoring the fact that israel has unilaterally confiscated (i.e. stolen) quite some plots of land, including part of jeruzalem and the golan heights. if israel wanted peace, they'd start implementing resolution 242, and give back all the occupied territories.
-- There are many legitimate reasons to want to be completely anonymous on the Internet" And copying a King Kong DVD rip is not one of them. -- why not? it's completely legal for me to copy a rip of any DVD.
what benefits an israeli company benefits israeli economy, which benefits israel's terrorist regime. Jani is completely right to boycott a terrorist regime. it's a very rational decision when no government seems to care about israeli terrorism.
accurately gauging distance can be a very good thing when leaping from tree to tree (at least... I imagine so. I'm not a biologist or something, but it's the first idea I had)
it's been known for thousands of years that pi equals three. it says so in the bible, so it must be true.

in other words.. not view source is the violation, but the userfriendly representation of the original html document is.

probably, but since the use of hexview's product is also opt-in, that's not a problem.

even if there is more than 1 highlander movie, there is no highlander 2.
personally, I don't like inline spellchecking. set extensions.spellcheck.inline.max-misspellings to 0 to disable it.

in dutch cities, riding a bike is often faster than going by car. it's also cheaper and if you get drunk you can walk home with your bike.

image ads get blocked. I didn't ask for them. I don't go around following people and shouting my name in their ear either.
sure it is. in fact, I'd pay to watch that in the cinema.
the plot as you describe it is better and more complex than 80% of all hollywood movies..
