No such luck. Seems to be a randomly cobbled together list of films, the names of which were pulled from some sort of hat, possibly one of those large ones with beer cans on either side.
I'll gladly pay a $10 tax on the computers I buy, I'll make sure I get my moneys worth in music and movies though (although with todays music, I might have a hard time getting my full $10 worth..)
"He didn't recognize the picture at all, but figured it might be Tolkein given the LOTR craze (nobody else got it)"
I think that says more about his opponents lack of talent than what talent Ken might have. How big a rock would you have to live under to not realise what the question was about? There are children locked in wicker baskets in the middle of the amazon that have been exposed to the LOTR marketing machine for fucks sake, don't tell me you're surprised that one squeaky clean mormon with a head for stats can piece two and two together.
A format that doesn't travel well, long load times, a giagantic screen (prone to scratching in backpacks?) and short-ass battery life. This isn't aimed at the mobile gaming crowd, it's aimed at the "Gotta have the latest device" crowd. The kind of people that own mobile phones to play java games, music, light up dark alley ways but never actually make any calls on the damn things.
Nice to see other people looking at the portable market, shame Sony got it so very, very wrong.
I wrote a metric shit tonne of emails to various people in positions of power about this.
I doubt very much at the end of the day my words directly had much to do with it, but some part of me really hopes it did. If only one minister sat and thought twice about what I'd written to them and it somehow swayed them to the more sensible course of action, I think I can be a little bit prouder of my country.
I'm sure I wasn't the only person making their voices heard over this issue, thanks to everybody else who stood up and let them know what we thought. We've done well this time.
I'm not much of any kind of nerd, much of the concepts about energy are quite beyond me. I'm more like a PR guy wearing cargo pants than a real techy;)
I'm not even going to pretend to understand how it works, but my Grandfather has a watch that recharges just through the motion of him walking around, moving his arm, etc.
Couldn't something like this be introduced in a larger scale (lots of room inside those mice) to power a cordless mouse? It's not like they sit static for great deals if time.
I'm sure someone smarter than me is aware of this method and can probable tell me why it won't work?
I'm not a fan of the series, but it's all gravy for them.
I just hope the contracts they have don't leave them high and dry in the event of MS/Bungie wanting to turn "indian giver". It sure seems a fair deal now (and good on them for striking it) but marketing departments are still fundamentally evil.
I mean, these lads create this animated piece by using somebody elses protected art / characters, which (to my understanding) means they cannot ever sell this stuff in order to make a living, anyone confirm?
Don't take this as me assuming these guys are trying to make a living off it, I'm just genuinely interested in who "owns" the end product.
"Sales, I imagine."

...they both come together really well?

As long as we don't get any 1000fps Goatse's, I'll be happy.
Keeping in the Christmas theme... that went down faster than Dads special eggnog he makes out of bourbon and icecubes.
Merry christmas you assholes.
It'll stay up. I'll just owe my host a whole fuckload of head in the morning...
do your worst...
How is it a format that doesn't travel well?
I should have been clearer, I'm suggesting the game media won't travel well.
I have enough problems trying to keep CD's usable in a walkman on long journeys, I can't imagine dicking around with PSP discs as well..

Certainly is, and $5 says it will.
Time for me to start posting short home made movies on my site with catchy titles, like "irobot.avi" and "titanic.mpeg".
I'll take the pepsi challenge with these fuckers any day of the week.
Here you go
At least, I assume that's what this story is all about, if so I can live without it.
I don't want, nor need your stinking IE plugins.
Click the submitters name. He's plugging his own site.
... anybody got it mirrored? :D
Excellent! I'm glad to hear from someone in your position that they do actually value those letters :)
I'll be doing more of them in future, thankyou very much buddy.

Agreed.
News for nerds? I'd just settle for something that matters at this stage...
Groovy, thanks for the info.
;)

.. it prevents further "infection".
I don't even have an Xbox, but what is the hardware you would need to burn the Xbox ISO once you downloaded it off P2P?
A modded X-box and a crossover cable. That's all, er.. so I hear.
Perhaps this is somehow tied in to my question?
If these guys have an agreement to produce this stuff for MS/Bungie, perhaps they also have an obligation to produce X number of seasons?
It's amazing how quick a passion can turn into a doldrum when you actually _have_ to keep working on it if you've moved on to new ideas.

Who owns this stuff?
