Yeah but I can buy a "disposable" Digital camera and take 5000 shots with it, now the cost to get those developed from film would more then offset the initial savings of a 35mm camera.
Thats a dangerious assumption you make. Education can be fun, the trick is to find how to make it fun. There are a lot of people doing a lot of research in education to figure out how.
"You lied through your teeth to get us where you wanted the last time, and we bet you're doing the same this time around"
Exactly, There's an old saying in Tennessee -- I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee -- that says, fool me once, shame on -- shame on you. Fool me -- you can't get fooled again.
In Australia we have %10 Ethanol fuel that will run in every car. And Brazil has cars that are designed to run on ethanol alone. The only problem I see here is that for some reason you want to get your ethanol from corn crops. What is wrong with getting it from sugar cane?
Yeah stem cell research is getting more bad press these days then that guy who was poisoning cats in a box, then claimed that he didn't even know if the cat was alive or dead.
I learnt a long time ago to never believe anything at all that I read in the media. If you have ever had any personal experiance relating to a news story you will know that the resulting write up will be too brief, have glaring omissions and will most likely be inaccurate, if not flat out wrong.
At least with with wikipedia I can change the mistakes when I see them.
Wow a DHTML popup window covering the text. Great way to get me to read the article.
Hint: If I can't see popup windows it means that I have gone out of my way to block them, making me see them again means you just wasted your bandwidth.
I think its mainly because Roland keeps on spamming slashdot with stories so he gets more ad hits on his blog. It personally pisses me off that they keep feeding the spammer, he is brute forcing slashdot.
My god as an Australian I found that article offensive. First they make up words that no one has ever heard, then they decided that all Australian is descended from criminals while blatently ignoring the fact that America was used as penal colony before Australia was. The whole thing is riddled with jabs at Australia. Is the American education system that bad or is the writer just willfully ignorant.
I don't know when they were actually invented but ultra bright LEDS are a huge invention. These days its possible to have LED traffic lights that wouldn't be possible 5 years ago.
Actually as much as I hate the many unfair provisions with relation to copyright law that Australia now needs to adopt, the fact is that we actually had DMCA laws before America. I'm going to have to move to New Zealand at this rate.
I wouldn't be that worried. If you were worried the best place to take it apart would be outdoors or in a well ventalated indoor area. If you don't breath in the vapours you should be fine, so if something breaks don't break and back away. Leave the area and come back a few hours later to clean up. That is worse case scenerio though, most likely you will be able to take it apart with a minimum of hassles.
Well I'm not sure how the system works in America but in Australia the store must honor the marked/scanned price. They can't just put $20 on a $100 item and say oh by-the-by you need to give use $80 more thanks. Generally they give you the item and hurry off to reprice the entire shelf.
If they were really a mouthpeice for Intel why do the AMD processors come out on top in nealy every test they run? And why do they recommend AMD as a gaming processor?
I've used Ubuntu since Hoary and I was always impressed at its quality over previous linux distros I had tried, FC4 most notably. I reciently installed it on a relitivily modern laptop and realised once I had done setting it up it had actually been easier to install and get up to date then Windows.
With Windows XP I have to install it, then find my SP2 cd and install that, download a heap of updates. Then I have to download drivers to get everything to work and so on. Now Ubuntu isn't much different its just the process takes a lot less time and is easier to do. As soon as you are done installing the base system there is a pop up that tells you you need to update. So you click that wait a while for it to download and your done, you do need to restart once because there is a new kernal out but that is understandable and is still much better then the 5 or probably more times Windows XP needs. And with Automatix the rest of your setup is easier still.
I could not be more happy with my ubuntu laptop. There are even ATI video card driver packages available making for a very slick install.
Well if you don't like that clause can't you just cut it out?

Here is some, and up until reciently here is some more.

And even if you did get asked you could, I don't know, walk away and come back for another try tomorrow.

If anything he should of resigned 10 weeks in advance and cashed in!
And Americas name is the United States of America but you don't go around calling it that because it wastes time.

If your PC is giving you open sores perhaps you should stop rubbing up against it so hard.
