Also, given that Java is repsonsible for some of the UI under the NeoOffice port and that there is no native Mac OS X port, does this mean that the promise of a cross-platform GUI library has been deferred yet again? Or did I misunderstand what the issue was in keeping OO.org on the Mac?

If you do a sentence diagram of that you get this (I love the internet, it does so much of the work for me.) where it shows that the noun/verb/adjective core of the sentence is "(the) right shall (not) be infringed". So the militia is completely secondary to the point of the sentence.

Bzzzt! Thanks for playing but you are incorrect: syntax alone cannot determine whether the "militia" clause is restrictive.

You mean "all-too-true," but you get extra points for proper use of hyphens.

There's more to life than grammar jackass, try getting laid some day.

A few problems here: one missing comma ("grammar , jackass": direct address), and one comma splice (before "try getting laid": should be its own sentence). Also, you mean "someday," not "some day."

P.S. I get laid plenty, my friend, though I don't mean that to sound egotistical or ... asswipey. The copyediting thing is just for fun.

Smarter heads than mine have already pointed out that Google could be making an "operating system" in the sense that the main apps that people use could be given a web interface and get all the benefits of roaming, multiple devices, etc. from that. (Think GoogleFS.)

While that's possible, let's not forget what makes this all possible and what would therefore become an integrated part of your desktop experience ... advertising! GoogleOS (with a suite of useful things like search, e-mail, etc.) would be the first OS that requires you to look at advertising ... all the time.
