well states ,like CA, will likely pass laws requiring goverment and fleet cars to be powered by hydrogen first. Also the feds will give tax breaks to people/companies who buy them. Car makers will sell them at a loss becuase current clean air standards allow them to produce more gas guzzling cars for every zero emmisions car. They have a certain average or mean they have to keep to.

I could care less about the pollution, but if it pollutes at the same or lower levels COOL.

actually having money really is a requirement. In the state that I live in it is almost impossible to collect money from a person on unsecured( not a house , car etc) debt. Plus anywhere in the US you can file bankruptcy pretty cheap. BAnkruptcy is a hassle BUT no lawyer will sue somebody unless they have assetts that can be attached to. If you do not own a home, company, stocks or securities( and anything in your IRA or 401k can't be sized from a lawsuit) property of some kind a judgement is IMPOSSIBLE to collect from you.

here in Texas a woman was jailed for refusing to give up a source. The judge said she( writing a book about a trial under contract from a publisher and published other places) was not a "real" journalist. This really gets to the heart of a problem in the US. "Real journalists" are often allowed freedoms other people are not.
While i think journalists are needed and these freedoms are important. I am also concerned that alternative voices( anything from hightimes to maximumn rock and roll to weblogs) may be silenced by not having access to these freedoms. This will basicly make the only "real journalists" people who write for corperate owned media outlets.

ok I see this as something that has real potential to change the world of body art. This could be as big as the first electric guns. The electric gun made tatt's hurt less and easier to give. This will ( if developed far enough) make pretty much anybody able to put a tatt on somebody regardless of their ability to draw perfect lines. It will not replace the artist( you still have to have a design) and a techinician will be needed to operate the machine safely. However people who have little artistic ability will be able to put ink on skin and have it look great.
Another thing about tatt's is that the artist can't erase. This could allow talented artists to produce much better looking work in a program( simular to photoshop ) then have the robot copy it EXACTLY on to the skin. More so software could be made to replicate a model of the subjects skin, virtual skin per se, and it could be included in the initial design.

We have at LEAST enough oil to last another 50 years. We also have alternatives( biomass, fuel cells, solar, etc) that are usuable right now. They are not used because they cost too much. When the price of oil rises, they will come into use. Other than oil the US does not look so bad does it?
