honestly, my decision of a major in college was heavily influenced by Penrose, Hameroff and other proponents of Quantum Brain theories.
I understand to some degree that simple rules when iterated can produce complex results that may mimic or look like it was designed.
Nevertheless, I believe that a purely neuron based approach will fail to account for the hard problems of psychology, ie. consciousness.
Though Penroses approach might be incorrect, I believe there is some interesting aspects to such quantum brain hypothesis..They can account for some of the hard problems that AI and neural models can't account for, and generally ignore. B
ok drugs give off aromas that are transfered through the air. The analogy is bad because.. well the dog doesn't smell the "packet", it smells the molecules that have escaped from the packet and are in public space. A text message doesnt have this phenomenon. Sniffing a text message involves actually accessing the data.
Its not like the word "drug" floats from the a digital message into "cyber space" and is sniffed. ha!
You are right of course, but lets look at it again this way.
I believe it is a statistical fact that larger, heavier vehicles causes more deaths than a light weight economy model. With insurance from the pump, dangerous gas guzzlers will pay a larger 'premium' than joe blo with the economy model.
This also provides greater incentive to improve gas mileage.
Another benefit is that everyone IS insured. Uninsured motorists today cause many economic difficulties for victims of accidents.
If a driver is said to be unfit for driving let them take their liscense away. Or give a tax credit to good drivers at the end of the year. I just think that it is criminal that many who can't afford car insurance are left to illegally drive their cars to work.. We all know that in some places mass transit is not a real option.. Its not NY everywhere in the U.S.
how about car insurance based on mileage.. rather, make a gas tax that provides car insurance with the fill up. If you have gas in your car, you have insurance
The concept of a corporation is not bad in and of itself. I also do not wish to say that all things produced by corporations are bad. However, it would be ignorant and pure folly to ignore the power structure that corporations possess in this country. And since a corporation's interests are usually different than Joe Smo's interests, Joe Smo should be aware of, and contemplate the power structure above him that work agains his interests.
Its better that we see the corporate control than to be ignorant of their influence. I don't think he was being sarcastic. Maybe just truthful...
Wow I haven't posted in a year.
commercial multi tracking software is expensive, commercial soft synths are expensive, commercial software effects are expensive.
musicians are poor.
if it really IS good, i might switch. and anybody know how good the effect plugins are as far as quality of sound etc. cheap effects or quality effects is the question.

I've long held that open source will eventually free musicians from one more financial difficulty.
people like to package problems into stereo types.
Those immigrants pick your fruit you dumb bastard.
how about stopping politicians from selling out to corporatiosn, like the California energy crisis where we got screwed in the ass behind doors.
the rich get rich, and the poor..well you only can own so little as nothing. and then some.
and theylle be mad because we just f**ked their ecosystem with pumps and new currents.

1. Bush won't do it because he is afraid of typing and mispelling a word. He doesn't want to make Potatoe a republican thing.
2.Bush is probably stupid enough to think that he couldn't have someone actually type for him.
The match made for geeks and nerds. 99% of geeks find a successful match.
