Ha, although widely proclaimed as being Ultra 64's under the skin, neither Killer Instinct, nor Cruisin' USA used the tech that actually ended up inside the console.
Except they don't have to get it completely right first time, as they can always patch it using the hard drive.
"Register now to get your free bugfi^H^H^H^H^Hupgra^H^H^H^H^Hdemo disc! Yeah, it's a demo disc, no it doesn't patch the OS as well, honest..."

XBox Delayed

Weeeeell maybe the delay isn't due to last weeks events, but due to them not actually being able to make enough of them regardless?
I mean, monkey boy wasn't lying, he just wasn't telling the whole truth.
"We're not delaying the launch of X-Box because of the terrorist attacks. We're delaying it because we're just as bad at shipping consoles on time as everyone else. Go easy on us, it's our first time."
Does it cost $100 less than the competition? Don't you already have a DVD player? Do you really need a hard drive? Is there a broadband platform? Don't you have a PC to play MAME on? Do you have an XBox devkit? Do you have a life?
Disclaimer: I work for SCEA, and I'm still gonna get a GC ASAP.
The Right Stuff is a double sider, as is Das Boot. I think it's got something to do with the low availability of dual layer pressing plants at the time.
...you can't get the Japanese Linux kit, is because it's completely useless unless you have a japanese PS2, due to the differing expansion ports recquired for the hard drive / ethernet unit.
I have little doubt that when the US/Euro equivalent of that unit is released later this year a translated Linux kit will be made available.
...or F12, if you read the article.

Personally I would've made them fall off the wall if you tried to stand on them.
Not even me, if you'd actually thought to read my post before shooting your load.
Could it be possible that yet-another-window-manager, just isn't a particularly interesting project to work on any more?
We've had the pre-cambrian explosion, time for the mass extinction.
Surely that's just;
4: Wait for someone else to punch him.
I thought GCC could spot this particular construct automagically, and didn't open the file the second time.
> How in the blue blazes is that supposed to prove anything at all?
It's the control group. Otherwise any drop off in sales could just be down to the song sucking harder than the previous one.
Shut the fuck up you -1 trollboy.
Not if you're fundamentally evil.
...a PVR service. If they teamed up with TiVo, they'd have a killer product, and several lawsuits to boot...

Dragon's Lair? Surely that was the epitome of great graphics with lousy gameplay?
Robotron though... I feel the sudden need to fire up MAME again.
It's the old problem of keeping two hardware clocks in synch. In this case the sound tick, and the vblank.
As they're not physically linked, they drift apart over time.
The workaround is to pause and unpause, or rewind a little, as soon as it becomes noticeable.
What you talking 'bout fool? Any game that streams it's music from the disc has the motor running all the time.
Sure, some games move the head more than others, but DVDs are fine. The unit is a standard DVD unit, designed to play DVDs.
Short story: Anything with moving parts wears out eventually. Some will go faster than others, that's why they have warranties, and repair shops.

Dude, having a low UID doesn't stop you from being a dillweed...
...uh, hang on a sec...
u r so so lame
Wow! So Intercontinental Absurdities (the late Frank Zappa's company), gave more than Sony and Bertelsmann combined.
I'm kinda suprised they give anything...
Couldn't you just re-rip the cd-r?
...and you're not?
Burn the heretic! Mario Kart 64 is one of those stone cold classics. We were still playing it three years after release.
