This isn't about kids spending money. It's about deceitful advertisements that trick people in buying stuff. The average person might see through these tricks. But a huge population is dumber than the average person.
TLJ was a great game, but the sequel Dreamfall was terrible. Will Dreamfall: Chapters be as terrible as Dreamfall? Or as good as The Longest Journey. It was not something I wanted to bet money on.
I'm all for informing people on what information they give to companies, and how those companies will use it. But at least don't be hypocritical about it. Also, a huge part of the world doesn't care, as is obvious by their Facebook and Twitter activity.
It really doesn't look comfortable to use. Must be awesome to develop RSI with. With a little bit of practice you can easily use a normal keyboard without looking at it all the time.
The major evolution that is still going on for me is towards a more functional programming style, which involves unlearning a lot of old habits, and backing away from some OOP directions.
One might suggest that every good programmer, if they spend enough time improving, eventually moves toward a more functional programming style.
That is more or less the same conclusion/train of thought Epic Games' Tim Sweeny had in 2005: http://dl.acm.org/citation.cfm?id=1111037.1111061 (note: slides of the talk can be found on the internet).
24 hours after that post from some guy on the adobe forums, and the page with downloads and keys is still there with no mention of requiring any previous license whatsoever.
Free is a major French ISP,[...] and no restrictions on VOIP, tethering... full net neutrality in fact. [...] They have a long-standing dispute with Google though, about who should pay for bigger tubes between their servers and YouTube, which is unusable at peak time for Free subscribers. Free have been advising their clients to use Dailymotion instead, and don't want to pay for extra bandwidth. Free users are very dissatisfied, and this is becoming a *major* issue.
The ad-blocking move, which seems right now to target mainly Google, is probably mostly a bargaining chip to get Google to pay for better YouTube access for Free.
Run his code through a static analysis tool with default, or best practice, settings, and then have him explain why the detected problems are false positives. The best way for people to learn that their code sucks is to have a 3rd, impartial, party tell them. Static code analysis tools are the best, because they have no ears. Telling them directly their code sucks is the worst way.
Considering most people can't perceive frame rates faster than 30

The difference is very noticeable, but the "problem" is reduced due to enormous input lag that is present in most console setups. Also in action heavy scenes you will notice it less that everything is moving less smooth. The difference in 30 fps vs 60 fps for cameras is less noticeable due to motion blur unless you slow down the rendering. Sure you can make 30 fps games look smoother by applying motion blur, but that only makes the end result blurrier.
Try explaining to a non-technical business user what a transaction is, let alone charging for them.
Try explaining to non-technical business users why salesforce.com is charging $3000 for 1GB when a 8GB USB drive costs $10. Guess what, you'll have to explain them what transactions are.
The Apple Washing machine will only allow you to wash blue jeans and black turtlenecks. You can buy an extension in the store to wash white T-Shirts. The app for washing black jeans or red turtlenecks was rejected because it was a conflict of interest for Apple.
Given the supporters it's either money and/or control. At least it's not technology.
What anti-virus software is sold with promises? afaik they come with huge disclaimers.
when was the last time you checked your httpd file?
This morning, debsum and rkhunter didn't report anything that requires attention.

So, you distributed the created PDFs? If you didn't, and it's still your in private collection, when how did you violate the right of creating copies?
4.5 years after VP8 was released.
3 years after VP8 was made open source and freely available

And Microsoft isn't doing the same?

Own? Guess again.
You paid for a medium and format specific license.
The producers, artists and performers don't own the copyright. So for who was this again?
I guess you haven't heard about: Battleship. It really is based on the table top game.

How is that net neutral?

If you want to give the creators (2 Player Productions) money for their creation, you can do it here: http://www.theminecraftmovie.com/
The summary could at least have mentioned that.

The majority of EA and Activision games are developed by EA and Activision owned studios. So, they develop games themselves, just like Zynga.
