    If only Windows 8 would be Vista 2.0. A year after Vista was released it was quite usable, because there were finally stable drivers available. For the rest there is not that much difference between Vista and 7. Windows 8 is a completely different ballgame.

    I think there's a better chance that the port to Linux of Steam will be used to crowdtest it so that they can eventually use it for their Steambox (i.e. PC like console running just Steam (on Linux)).

    That's exactly the point I'm trying to make. Apparently you have zero trust on me and demand my credentials to check on me, because without checking you cannot trust me. I'm not asking you to trust me. I'm just saying you shouldn't distrust me to start with. Trust is earned, just like distrust.
    I made a little error in the translation, although it doesn't make much of a difference, it's more like "The host who distrusts his guest, is probably untrustworthy". But it doesn't make much of a difference.
    If you start of with distrusting your employees, then what reason would your employees have to trust you. Legally your employers are required to keep company shit secret, because, that's what you put into their contracts, right?

    In that case I have little trust in the quality of this kickstarter project. Sliders pretty much went to shit in the season Zicree came on board.

    Ah yes, New Super Mario Bros. Nintendo really fucked up on that one. It's a game for a portable device, but allowing you to save after completing a single level is unlocked after defeating the end boss.
    Also, 6 buttons available... but only 2 used and you have to use the touch screen to deploy your saved powerup.

    If I would ever become a criminal or terrorist I'm already prepared for dumb technology like this. I have long hair, a moustache and a goatee. After I committed my crime I will simple shave and cut my hair. And that's simply the easy, quick and painless change.
    Sure, if I'm a foreigner I might it means I probably entered the country by showing my passport. So they would probably know who I /was/. But because I'm changed my appearance drastically they would have a hard time to find me.
    The people that looked a bit like the "old" me would probably have a more difficult life than me.

    Early on, the Windows team explored an inch-based scaling system, but found out that bitmaps would look blurry when scaled to unpredictable sizes.

    Really?! Who would have thought that.

    But do I understand correctly that Windows 8 (Metro) will pretty much abolish higher resolutions? Higher resolution, but still the same amount of screen estate.
