Aphex Twin is also doing the music. i cannot think of a more appropriate soundsmith to complement the work

  2. Re:I don't get it... on "Decasia": The Beauty of Film Decay · · Score: 1

i was reading the paper and found that one of the guitarists of sonic youth was playing locally (the international house in philly) and then i found what he was doing: live backup for a 3 hour film of light refractions in a pure crystal ashtray. i guess they zoom in real close and use the ashtray as a kaleidascope. i couldnt find myself to part with a 10 spot for that fine performance. i do love art, but you can love art and think works of art are trash.

i'm glad that i will have to pay more on my products to install DRM devices so that others who are better coders than I can crack yet another code and enable me to subvert the DRM devices. i think DRM is a conspiracy by the OSS movement to harden their code crackers!!! eventually we will be sold sealed viewing boxes with self destructing media. included will be a memory eraser so you can forget you even saw what you saw, otherwise you may copy it.

Good is a silly word to use, it is objective. I think we should look at this as possibilities and how the juggernaut of tech will change the landscape. It doesn't matter wheter smart mobs are good or bad, just as it doesn't matter wheter or not cloning is bad: they both exist and can be described and utilized

It was recently implemented in my area of philadelphia. it is a good idea, but it cannot compare to a PVr. comcast doesn't offer many shows. a fair amount of movies, but no simpsons. a few episodes of comedy central shiows, some A&E biographies, but why pick that you can select any show across the spectrum of channels. it is pretty nifty though considereing you dont have to buy anything new and you only have to pay for the movies.

  22. good move on Gateway to Ship PCs with Pre-Installed DRM Music Files · · Score: 1

i am sure glad that computers will be packaged with more useless stuff to waste hard disk space. i've had to spend hours deleting all the junk of my dad's laptop and my mom's compaq pc. and with the laptop, it was like pulling teeth getting the major retailer to send a disk for windows so i could format the whole thing and just reinstall the OS. they tried to get me to copy the windows image on to 29 floppies. you would be insane to sign up with a service like this with a modem anyway, i doubt you could download enough data in a month to justify the fees charged.
