Are we now killing him a THIRD time, along with his brothers, cousins, college roommate, and that guy he talked to at the bus stop last week? How does Evil(tm) finance its operation and pay its underling bosses?
Please refer to Bill Gates. Example, Steve Ballmer, college roommate, Financing: Microsoft, you get where I am going.
Man, I was reluctant to consider Spore because the SecuROM feature, but some of the creatures... I wonder what it will take get to get the planet "Biggus Dickus" populated with these species.
That being said, it would still be pretty cool to have a Zaku in a CS department. Give them something to inspire those evil geniuses to build one day. Hell of a lot better motivator than dilbert wallpaper.
That sounds like a lot of money, until you get to compare it with the costs to pave a road. A new road can easily cost $20-30 million dollars/ mile. Now this does not include the drastic increases in the costs of oil, which is used to make asphalt. The costs for paving a road are about twice what they were just a year ago.
A train track is not cheap, but roads are not getting cheaper and fewer people will be driving long distances as the price of oil continues to go up.
Try to have a copy of a legal document, like your driver's license, and show it in court.
You cannot use a duplicate of a legal document in place of a legal document, it is considered hearsay and would get thrown out.
You may get away with a fax for a quick approval, but you need to have an original legal document( for example, by mail) or you run the hazard of it not being valid.
Remind me of a friends story while in China. His friend, who was Chinese, was driving down this shortcut and in front of him was the very professional, and heavily armed Chinese soldier standing in the way. He decided to just drive around him and my friend started to freak out and asked him, "what the hell was he doing, he could have gotten them killed!" His friends reply was, 'oh they don't give them any bullets!"
Yeah, I guess, I mean, I only the internet for games... and maps, so I can find things, you know like a hospital... and my phone, especially for an emergencies... and telecommuting job... and my personal finances, and my banking too.
You know trivial stuff, that would never expose to any potential physical or financial problems at ALL!
I have to seriously wonder, is this man mentally ill? The only reason he receives any attention now was due to his previous work, but as the things he says and does keep getting stranger and stranger I have to wonder.
In the US, people are only forcibly evaluated for mental illness under the most obvious conditions. If you have a person who is slowly slipping off the edge no one will do anything until he becomes an obvious problem. Even then it is usually be ignored unless he harms someone.
It is quite possible that Jack Thompson is out of his mind. But no one will step in until after he has practically killed someone.
My wife is Chinese and I see the same thing. In verbal arguments with her, what I see is a typical tactic of blaming you(the person your arguing with) as the reason for their problem. She cannot be objective at all and just wants to lash out. That is what I see when I read about the Western government conspiracies against China. The first thing they lose is objectivity; all they want to do is lash out and and say or do anything to win the argument.
From my recent job hunting recruiters can hurt more often than help with landing a position. A placement fee of 10-15% yearly salary makes managers reluctant to take any risk. They worry about making a decision that will result in a 3 or 6 month hire regardless of the payoff. Better safe than sorry.
Managers want to hire someone who will make them confident in their decision and will stick around for a long period of time. Not necessarily the persons ability to do the job.
I would think the fewer number of signatures would result in him having an increased chance of quiting. If they got 1 million signatures, that would mean that nearly 1 million people actually heard of him! He could claim that he has the presence to draw large numbers of people to his movies!
If he was only able to get 20~ 25,000 signatures no studio is going to look at and say "His works are so beloved that they are not complaining about him!" His career would be over.
The opposite of love is indifference. If you want his career over ignore him.
I am surprised that this does not occur more than it does in large businesses like Sony, the scale of the company increases the number of opportunities for this to occur. Also there are more people that have guilty knowledge that something like this occurred. It would only take one of these people to become disgruntled and rat out their employer( for a finder's fee of course).
Maybe not in class ranking, but what about scholarships? Or tuition reimbursement? Or graduate school? Those are the things I could think of off the top of my head, I would be surprised if there are not more.
I went back to school at 32 to get my 4 year degree in Business Administration. I had to take two classes with one guy whom I had to do group projects for the class(random assignment). This guy pissed me off so bad because in both cases we cut and pasted text to fill in his contribution for the group project( one of them was literally 14 pages from a companies 10-K report) . I was so mad, because I was doing real work and he did not doing anything.
The worst part was I could not do anything. If I ratted him out, then all of us would end with a lower grade, if the professor noticed then he would lower all our grades!
When I confronted him, he said "whatever dude, it is none of your business anyways!"
I think that you are wrong, it is EASIER and CHEAPER to produce a story about a disaster or controversy than it is about science. You have to be willing to spend some time about science in order to engage a viewer.
News today is more about press releases and quick quotes, hell the news media does not really bother fact checking most of the time, which is stupid in a age where information is more available than any other time in history.
Pawns were Mickey's
That was just plain EVIL!
Darn Disco Bandits!

Man, I placed this in the wrong article.

How do I get that red Zaku that is in their office?
Better yet, how do I get a powered Zaku similar to the one in the office!
I don't think the question is, does your balls smell nice; the question is how did check?
I guess that means DubyaBushJr articles are not very reliable then?

When I was a kid I had a rubix cube which one day resulted in this,
Angry Kid + Teacher(target) + Rubix Cube = defenestrate + one half rubix cube + dozens little pieces of a cube.
Afterwards I felt pretty bad about the whole thing...

Obliviously men with small penises or low libido and women with small breasts.
