    $5 (Penalty per song) * 500 Downloads = $2,500

The maximum penalty PER DOWNLAODED SONG right now is $10,000 which makes NO FUCKING SENSE. God, you're the biggest fucking asshat RIAA defending numbnut I've ever met.

Why don't you go lick Hillary Rosen's feat or something?

Energy created in a nuclear power plant could be harnessed to electrolyze water, thereby providing hydrogen for fuel cell cars. That would cause much less pollution than Hydrocarbon based fuels, and make us independent of Opec. Alternatively we could set up massive windfarms to provide the power to electrolyze water. So, Fuel Cells are not the solution to everything, but they have many more possibilities then the internal combustion engines of today.

As an iraqi, I'd really like to get the message:'Go get killed by some chemichal weapons and stay under the control of a brutal dictator so I can get relected' This is what makes people turn away from Germany. The lack of tactfullness. Double standards (Yes, we critizise other people for giving weapons of Mass destruction to third world nations whenever it is usefull to us). Turning one or two blind eyes (Who gave Saddam chemichal weapons when he was the bulwark against Iran?). The will to break international law whenever it serves the purpose. 1,000 civilian deaths because of bombing and the war is of course terrible. But compare this with the commenly cited statistic of 1-2 million deaths in Iraq because of the sanctions, and I think it is clear that Iraq will be better off after the war (and free).

Thats probably because the world they want to live in is one in which they are rich. No one is placing the GPL on you, if you prefer to use a liscence which gives one Company more rights over software then other Companies then it is your free choice. When you use the GPL every company has equal rights over your code.

And the GPL insures that it will always be free software, unlike BSD liscenced software which is essentially free software waiting to be caged in.
Having companies making proprietary forks wastes software development time, you then get the same thing written two times, once proprietary and once open source. The GPL hopes to prevent this.
