It is possible. If you are using Firefox, try the Greasemonkey
extension and you can digg up a few ad blocking scripts from
userscripts.org. It works pretty well.
I also use a Greasemonkey script to force gmail to display emails
with fixed fonts. Reading mails from a mailing list without fixed
fonts drives me crazy.
Do you have proof of this, or is this just your own opinion? Is there a documented link between organized crime and allofmp3.com? Or is this just standard prejudice against all Russian businesses?
>Also most of the workers are women, who are considered a 2nd class human in China, >the fact that they are allowed to work at all is a big step for them.
You obviously don't know much about China and you just make stuff up. Chinese women have been working hard for years. How and where you got that idea is totally beyond me. May be you've mistaken China for some countries in the middle east?
"We sell literally hundreds of thousands per month," Dhillon said.
The guy said they are selling hundreds of thousands per month??? I guess that says a lot
about the reliability of these routers nowadays. I'm on my 4th router in 3 years. My 1st one is a linksys that lasted a little more than a year. Then the netgear and SMC both died in less than a year. This is ridiculous. Did they put a "timebomb" in their software or
something so that people will just keep coming back?
Why paper? Because it won't kill my eyes

Any other reason you want paper?
Here's a good reason: reading stuff on paper is easier on my eyes. It is bad enough staring at the screen for long hours coding and doing other things. Whenever possible I would rather read the manuals on paper just to give my eyes some rest.
Personally, I think the greatest benefit of these fan translations is that it keeps the companies relatively honest. Fans already know the dialogue can be competently translated, so there's less excuse for poor dictionary-switch translatings or covering up harder dialogue with protected laughter that has nothing to do with the movement of character mouths. Heck, a few companies have made use of fan translations when doing their subtitling.
I agree with your suggestion that fansubbers are keeping the companies "honest." A few years back, there weren't as many commercial DVD releases as it is today, and ADV was one of a handful of companies doing it. I tell you what, ADV was one of the most hated companies for the fans, because they did a piss poor job with the translations and butchered many good series. (and let's not talk about the dub...) To ADV's credit, in the last couple of years they have gotten quite a bit better, although they still aren't as good as Geneon or Funimation. One has to think some of the fansubbers' quality work has something to do with this, on top of competition from other companies.
It is still a resource hug. It does got rid of useless options and cleaned up the interface. But I don't see it eats up less RAM or something. It's actually getting worse, try browsing a bunch of png files (eg screenshots) and see the memory used goes thru the roof.
Yeah, I did changed the cache and all those options, doesn't do a thing to help.
okay so I upgraded to 1.0PR, and now half of my extensions are gone and my theme (qute) is gone too because they are 'incompatible' with 1.0PR. this is like pick your poison and this is stupid.
and what's up with the new default theme? when it was first introduced it was said it wasn't even alpha quality. now we are at 1.0PR with the official 1.0 release coming very soon, and I don't see a lot of improvements on that.
so when are we going to be able to update firefox/thunderbird without reinstalling the entire app? I'm sick and tire of this because I also have to reinstall every single extensions and themes I use. Sure I can do this easily, but it's a pain in the ass when I have to tell my not-so-tech-savvy friends to upgrade. it's tedious and stupid.
and god bless those poor souls who have to upgrade a whole network of machines.
I agree about using mod chips to play import games.
There are many many games in Japan that will never be brought over to the US, for whatever silly reasons. (Not being 3D enough, niche genre, etc)
For example, being a Xenosaga fan, I would like to get my hands on the fan disc Xenofreaks that is coming out in April. But there is absolutely no chance that the game will be brought over to the US. The only option I have is to import. And I need a mod chip to play an import game.
actually, if that's what you're looking for you should look into getting some japanese PC games. because a lot of them are hentai games. I actually read somewhere that in japan if you started talking about PC games, a lot of people will think you're talking about hentai games. they even have an entire floor devoted to those games in stores.;-)
I guess it's interesting how different in taste here in US and Japan when it comes to games. (well, at least PC games in this case)

This group didn't translate the whole game, they only translated the web demo.

If you are using windows,
try using ffdshow, media player classic,
and oggDS filter.
you can find ffdshow and media player classic
at sourceforge, and get oggDS here:
http://tobias.everwicked.com/oggds.htm
I can't guarantee this combination will play
all AVIs and MPGs, but it works for me.
