People didn't want labour anymore so they voted in the Margaret "Mad Cow" Thatcher party and expected... what exactly? They threw them out in the first place.
In Holland we face the same. A party of VVD with the right-wingers from CDA (Christian power lovers who claim to be social but accept support of an anti-muslim party) to "fix" the economy. Except that in the months it took to get his sham of a government together, the economy already fixed itself. Unemployment is dropping and was never that high in Holland to begin with (4% max).
England has had higher un-employment for far longer so you can hardly blame the current economic crisis OR labour for it. It goes far further. The UK has been tearing itself apart post WW2, unable to find a new place for itself in the world after it lost the empire. In the 60's and 70's the country was close to civil war, with strikes paralizing the country but it never examined WHY this happened. The UK likes to think it is a democracy but it is a nation were class distinction is still at an all time high. And while they can joke about it, an episode of Have I Got News For You saw real tension, even hatred between a union leader and private schoolboy Hislop. It might make funny tv, but at the heart of it is the seperation between those who do the actual work, and those that form the ruling elite.
England pre-WW2 was under the believe that it could outsource farming. That farmers were not needed, that it could simply import whatever it needed. The german submarines soon changed that, but there remains an idea in the UK, and western society in general, that factories and farms are not needed. See how many here support outsourcing of all production to China, claiming the entire western economy can keep working on the "knowledge" economy instead.
And then you find out that somehow this great outsourcing of all production somehow leads to economic recession and then you can't pay for the universities that fuel the knowledge economy. The UK BELIEVED that The City was the NEW economic engine, same as the US came to believe Wallstreet was the economy. And then it collapsed, once again and the old standbyes were no longer there. Holland came through the recession relatively smooth because we still got a production/agriculture economy to fall back on. There were still people working, paying taxes when the speculators were begging for government handouts.
The UK? Not so much. The country had been run into the ground by the conservatives, who fueled tax cuts by selling of stuff (great short term thinking, I am RICH because I sold my house so I can now blow it on booze, never mind were I am going to sleep tonight) and cutting back essential maintenance. It took a disaster on the rail roads where a lot of people died and the entire network ground to a halt, for things to change. The tories were thrown out and somehow people expected labour to be able to instantly fix everything, including stopping the runaway finacial market.
Didn't work and so they voted the guys who created the mess in the first place back in. Smart move, if the cleaner isn't doing the job, call in the person who made the mess. That will sort things out.
Sorry UK and world in general. You can't have it both ways. You can't have investment in the economy AND tax cuts.
Not that the UK will have tax cutes, well unless you count the very rich who don't need it, but it sounded so good on the election manifesto.
The UK is going down the shitter fast. It has been mis-managed for decades and there simply aren't any reserves left. There is nothing left to sell off, no maintenance that can be delayed any further without the country falling apart.
About the only thing left is to tackle the financial district, get them to return the bailout AND repay it with intrest. But you elected the tories, so fat chance of that happening. Time to close of the tunnel and shove the country of to the US, before it starts polluting the mainland. France, what do you rather have, Roma or liverpool supporters?
Syntax? Spelling? This is a WRITER, not a secretary. He wants to put what he has in his mind in some medium that can then be further processed later. By an editor/proof reader. He doens't need to highlight things.
What he explored was how much do we REALLY need? IF he can write, then does he need to re-edit what he wrote? I do, but then I can't write. My thoughts are all over the place and I need to go back in a sentence to reword it. Or do I? Is the reason I can't write because I keep re-editing what I wrote until it has lost all passion?
The fastest cars on the earth are also some of the simplest, or were for a long time. If you got ABS on a motor cycle, you CAN NOT brake as hard as if you didn't have it. The tolerance that ABS brings means a skilled driver can brake harder without. If you are NOT skilled, then ABS is better.
So is he skilled or not?
And finally, on error-checking. While useful, in some editors it has become so advanced it tries to correct you even when what your wrote is correct but it just doesn't understand it. Imagine some of the best writers if they were constrained by what their spell checker would allow them to do.
But what this really is about, proffesional writer claims he works better without all the bells and whistle. Unknown nobody claims this is not true. I take the writers word for it that he writers faster without over yours. Hope this doesn't offend you. Damn spell check, should have been DOES.
I keep hearing this claim, that marijuana is not addictive and causes no ill effects, physical or mental...
Now here is something I don't get. In the US, if you are caught for the third time with a joint, you can go to jail for life. The REST of your life. In prison.
How do you explain people risking life imprisonment for a harmless substance? I like chocolate but if I risked life in jail for the mars bar in my pocket, it wouldn't be there. End of story. I might want to discuss how absurd the war on chocolate is, but I would argue it in public debate. Not buy a mars bar at inflated prices from some hack who has done god knows what with it then flee from the cops and cry like bitch when my ass is raped in federal jail FOR the THIRD TIME!
In Holland the drug is tolerated and it is true that its usage has NOT gone up. BUT the people who DO use it, still fit the same profile. For instance a study this week announced that mental disorders are far higher among smokers then non-smokers. Gosh, I knew some smokers in the past, no kidding. Chicken and the Egg? Perhaps, perhaps it is only the mentally unstable to smoke but do we really want people with mental problems to consume yet more drugs?
I am still convinced that the biggest argument against drugs, any drugs is the drug user himself. The smoker who coughs up his lungs, the drinker who thinks he is in control but can't keep his drink straight, the marijuana user who risks a lifetime in jail for a joint.
If we legalize drugs it should be done like sensible gun legalization. Anybody can get a gun, only one test. If you want one, you disqualify.
It says a lot about marijuana users that they claim it is less addictive then alcohol and tobacco. Both highly addictive and causing a lot of harm to society. Way to advertise yourself. We are not as bad as bad things. Not going to convince me, I don't smoke and my drinking is so moderate it barely registers. And it is me and countless other non-users you got to convince. Majority rule in a democracy remember?
The above is accurate ALTHOUGH the accusations COULD be put on different countries. The USSR shot down a korean plane that came into its airspace and the US has shot down a Iranian airliner claiming it was an wave of fighter aircraft (despite being far slower climbing constansly and only firing ONE missle at SEVERAL incoming aircraft (real naval action would have been to throw everything at incoming fighters including the kitchen sink after the experience at the falklands)) and as for mas starvation, how many indians died of that again after forced relocation to inhostipable regions of the US to make way for white settlers?
Ancient history? Yeah, that is convenient BUT this ancient history IS being remembered by people around the globe who use it to excuse their own injustices. It is a very powerful excuse. China does not want north korea but it wants the vassal state of south korea even less. That would mean US forces right at its borders. North Korea abducting Japanse citizens? Gosh, somehow I don't see China caring. That would be like Israel caring about germans getting killed. Japan is not wel liked in the region. Something about being a nation riddled with war crimes and never making attonement for it might have something to do with it.
And so North Korea continues to happen. As a buffer against the US as a way of saying "No, rampant captalism will NOT overrun the entire world" as a way of not having to answer just why this was allowed to go on.
And lets face it, IF NK is going to collapse, who is going to pay for it? The reunification of germany cost western germany dearly and is still not going smoothly. The collapse of the USSR has made the world less safe and make life in those regions far less free. One dictartorship fell, countless replaced it.
The world ain't a nice place. NK is one of most not nice places around but it happens because the rest of the world isn't nice enough to stop it. And that includes people like BKMOORE, the parent, who claim SK is only legitimate government... yah. That government never did any wrong. Nope...
AND that is what fuels division and allows NK to exist. If you want to change the world, you got to start with yourself. SK is puppet government that has become legit because it has made economic success so people forgot about the past. If you want to convince the NK that it must change its way, claiming money makes right is not going to do it.
Who is going to pay the magical fire truck, train the magical fire crew. The magical dollar fairy the grows out of Libertarians butts?
Fire services are expensive AND have no guaranteed income. So, who is going to start a fire service if they only get paid AFTER a fire (and they are not allowed to start one)?
Someone must front the money to set up the fire service AND keep it running regardless of the amount of fire AND the money you MIGHT be able to collect afterwards.
Really, if you can't see the countless flaws in your arguments... oh wait, you are a Libertarian, of course you can not.
It would be like starting a self help petrol station in 1600, hoping that one day soon someone is going to invent the internal combustion engine.
Any business must have some form of regular income. Whether that is a regular ensured stream of customers or some kind of fee paid in advance doesn't matter. But you cannot run anything with an upfront and maintenance costs in the hope that there might be some income in the future.
You would think a capatalists understands that. Then again, considering the US economy, perhaps not.
Say you have a district in which there is no fire for a decade. It can happen. Ergo the cost = 0. Therefor payments are zero...
Right and those zero payments can keep the fire house and fire engine maintained, the crews trained?
Oh, if there is a fire, that person with the fire should pay ALL the costs of an entire decade of keeping a fire service going that can deal with a small disaster to put out his burning garden shed?
Fire services are like many services something only the community at large can afford and even then only on a large scale. It is easier for ten small districts to work together so that none have a huge fireservice but together they can mount a large force should a large disaster happen.
Libretarians like you just suck at math and try to wiggle out of it by claiming an individual can pay for the costs of running a fire service.
Don't work, never will work but thank god for idiots like this because it show just how stupid the idea of small government is.
You think that someone who doesn't pay the fire insurance pays his fire insurance? How does that even work?
This guy doesn't want to pay for protection against disasters. Why do you think he has other types of insurance?
And why should people running a business go through these problems? Can I demand you supply me a product NOW when I need it and you are then just forced to go through the courts to claim the money if any?
No, this US citizen has chosen to life in an extremely capatilist society. He then can't claim socialist benefits when it pleases him.
Either you pay for the fire department or you don't get their help. End of story.
The COST of putting a fire out is FAR FAR higher then 75 dollars. You can't PAY yourself for having a fire putout, that is why EVERYONE pays to have ANY fire put out, and when it is THEIR fire to be put out, then everyone else has payed for it.
The fire department can't buy a fire engine on the promise to the fire-truck company they expect 100 fires and the people will pay up afterwards.
It is insurance, or do you expect to go to an insurance company: Hey, my car was stolen, here is the first deposit, give me a new car?
So basically you want something for free. The FD in these backwards areas is PAID by the people, for the people who paid. Don't pay, don't get your fire put out.
What next, I don't pay for my lunch so I can get yours?
Insurance is NOTHING new, the mormons who refuse to have anything to do with it INSURE themselves by being neighbourly. If my neighbour needs help with his farm, I help him and then (I/E)NSURES he will help me.
In holland, black socks use the same. They are not insured against a lightening strike, but the entire community WILL help everyone.
But say YOU never EVER help anyone else. Willing to bet then that when YOU call for help, nobody comes out to help.
So, the US and NL and BE and DE etc governments have NOT sought out such control over the domains for their countries BUT this means nothing to you. That LY HAS sought out the control and uses it, is just the same as western countries NOT seeking such control and not using it.
Say that a door can't be broken down for some reason, without the owner opening it. Can the police then force the owner to open it when executing a search warrant?
Encryption has given us a new technology that allows us to create locks that cannot be busted open. BUT we KNOW how to deal with this. A bank issued with a search warrant HAS to open the safe. They cannot choose not to cooperate. IF there is a search warrant you MIGHT think that you do not have to cooperate because the SWAT team is holding a gun to your head while you are on the ground BUT that is because your house door is far more easily busted in.
A lot of people seem to think that the legal system can operate if new tech gets all kinds of exceptions. Tell me, would you accept that the police did NOT read Al Capone's diary because it had a lock on it? No? Then WHY is your PC with encryption supposed to have some sort of immunity?
Changing tech changes the law. We might not like it but that is the way the law works. Else you WOULD allow an ISP to read all your emails. After all ONLY mail that is SEALED cannot be read by the carrier (old mail law) so email which is not sealed can be read just as a postcard. New tech, new laws.
So now everyone with a webcam needs a broadcasting license? Why not demand that everyone writing on the web have a writing license and be done with free speech altogether.
And the claim short skirts cause earth quakes, that a western agent shot Neda, that the elections were fair etc etc.
And then you swallow WHOLE the claim that Iran was hit hard by stuxnet... a claim made by WHO? Verified by who? And couldn't a big outbreak just be an indication of really bad security in Iran IF the claim is even true? The worm has also attacked in Indonesia and Holland. Might other places where better security kept it limited just kept quiet? After all, if MY security was bad I wouldn't tell YOU about it.
As for the sophistication of the worm... right. If it was so sophisticated, why was it dissected so easily? That it was effective means nothing. Worms we KNOW to be written by amateurs have had massive world wide outbreaks. So a worm that only has an outbreak in one country with suspect IT skills is better? Odd definition of better.
What amazes me is that you are paranoid to believe western governments can lie, but Muslim nations are to backward to spread false propaganda. Personally, I don't trust either one and follow the money. And there is no money for the west in this. Iran however has now got a scapegoat for anything that goes wrong. Yet another one. It is how dictators work to keep the population on their side, it is all the fault of group X. So support me or X will kill you.
I have to really control my temper right now because I really want to tear you a new one.
The amount of sheep in your statement is so staggering that even New Zealand would complain. Yes, of course I can do something else during a commercial break. But if a 2 hour movie is interrupted every fifteen minutes for a 5 minute break, that adds a LOT of time to kill while my tv tries to bore me to death with the most inane crap.
I don't watch tv anymore. NOT because I think the programs are beneath me, I like mindless entertainment!, but because it just takes to much time. Say I want to watch the simpsons in Holland on comedy central. It starts at 8isch. So I have to be READY at that EXACT moment and often commericals delay the start of most other programs. 8 minutes later it is interrupted by commercials which go on forever. Then again a few minutes and more commercials. Just to much fucking effort.
The odd thing is, people don't mind ads. Some even collect them. But there is so much as to much of a good thing. No matter how much I chocolate, if you try to drown me in it, I would still fight you.
And the advertisers response to this reluctance to the ad overdose? MORE and LOUDER ads. It is as if you are a carnaval were each attraction is determined to win the sound battle with its neighbours and then they all wonder why their customers ran away. And then the carnaval ground owner decices to replace the attractions that are no longer working with even louder attractions, totally not getting why the customers and profits have gone.
VHS is a good example. Who minded movie previews at the end of a VHS tape? Nobody I would expect, quite handy in the days before the internet. They weren't in anybodies way, you didn't have to watch them or wait for them to passby on fast forward but if you wanted, you could see them.
Then Disney added them to the front. WHY?!? Because some marketing exec thought, if method X has Y return then if I do X2 Y2 is the result. NO. In fact, it might be X2 -Y2
And since the result of the non increasing sales? Make them unskippable on the DVD. ARGH! Why not just take a nail gun to your customers and nail them to your movie posters. That will convince them.
I am old. I remember when Dutch tv had 1 station and no commercials on sunday. Commercial blocks were a handful of minutes at most. Now? I can take a crap and make coffee and completly forget what I am watching and therefor not bother to watch at all.
Google can annoy the hell out of me if it wants but I will just leave and so will countless others.
Just do something else. Indeed. But I just don't come back to the TV.
Bittorrent as its uses. It can help off load some of the traffic to your customers so you increase bandwidth without having to pay for it.
BUT there are some HUGE downsides:
A: You cannot rely on your customers to host your data, meaning you still have to supply a copy of the data AND serve it at expected speeds.
B: Customers might come when nobody else wants it, meaning you are STILL providing all the bandwidth. Customers will have little motivation to seed your content.
C: Many customers will not have the right setup to share data. Either firewall restrictions or ISP limitations.
D: You need to bake the bittorrent into your application (like WoW and other games do) or face endless questions by customers who are barely able to download in the first place.
E: Some content you don't want shared. How can you watermark content and tie it to a user if every user has the same file? Blizzard don't care who gets their patches since only legit users can play the game anyway and Linux torrents are of course free to start with.
F: for small files, bittorrent costs to much overhead. If I share a million MP3's the changes of finding anyone else with the same, willing and able to share it are tiny and the overhead will be more then the saved bandwidth.
So, this question is asked by a person who clearly hasn't understood the web, users, copyright or usability.
GCC is what it is because of the license. Without the license, it would just be another compiler most likely closed or restricted in some way. That it isn't is because of the license, not because of the code.
To what do you attribute the Wright brothers plane? The internal combustion engine or the dream to fly? Without the engine there could have been a plane driven by say a rocket, but without the dream their would never have been a plane.
It can be very hard to truly comprehend just how big Stallman's contribution has been. Freedom is very hard to grasp, if you are used to it.
In another response to the story about net neutrality I linked the internet to the press and the contribution to freedom that this tech has made. But what is that contribution? The art of reproducing text quickly OR the power of the written word? The capability of human beings to pass on their thoughts to others without ever meeting them?
Just as the chattering monkey became more human by being able to write down speech, and then more free by being able reproduce it easily and even free'er(?) by being able to transmit what he had for breakfast around the globe (oh okay so it ain't all good), the GNU, FSF etc have given us a degree of freedom that once we couldn't imagine and now can't imagine being without.
The oldies MIGHT remember machines on which you paid for every single second of access. In which hardware was not owned but leased. Only the very powerful could own a computer and making it doing anything useful cost even more.
Today, I can own a computer far more powerful, own it completly and use countless pieces of software for free. Not saying I have to, but I can and the fact that I can already means that those who wish to control software/hardware and freedom are restricted in doing so. Good luck MS with their ActiveX and attempts to stop the internet. IE did NOT manage to make the web an MS experience. Can you imagine what MS would have been like if they had IBM mainframe style control of the IBM compatible? If there never had been a Compaq, never had been a Dr-DOS? It would have been the Apple from Hell.
Trying to explain this alternate reality would be like trying to explain the holocaust (godwin can kiss my hairy butt) in a universe were said holocaust never happened. We escape the complete control of our PC's by IBM, so how can we imagine what the world would have been like with IBM in control?
And of course Stallman didn't do it all alone. But he has been the most central figure who has stood firm for 25 years. He and everyone else who has helped create the idea of software not as an owned and controlled resource has made the world we live in today. How could countless websites have gotten started without free Apache, free Perl/PHP/Python/etc, free databases yes even free OS'es?
But isn't MS software as easily available? Yes, BUT and this is a HUGE BUT, without IBM loosing control over the PC, MS would also never have been. MS, the closed source control freak company owes it existence to "free" software/hardware. Proof? No MS on mainframes.
So yes. GCC is awesome, but it is a minor tool, the AK47 of the freedom movement. It is the fight, not the weapons that matter. The decleration of independe vs the guarilla tactics. The refusal to obey seperation laws rather then choosing a seat in a bus.
And to those who think free software is not comparable. It isn't. But lack of freedom in small areas can mean the lack of freedom is far larger areas. Wouldn't it be convenient for those who want to control freedom, if printing presses could only be bought with identification? If a website could only be setup with a real ID?
So thank you Richard Stallman. I would never have the courage to do what you did, but the world is a better place cause you did it. Not perfect, but better. Just that the rest of us must remember that if we take it all for granted, we might loose it all. DMCA, Trusted Computing etc are real treaths and they do NOT go away just because we managed to stop them once.
Good one, claim you are not a troll when trolling.
Guns are only wanted by criminals.
Cars are only wanted by speeders.
The article links net neutrality to Facebook. You link it to copyright infringement, completly ignoring the case of Lessig.
Net neutrality means ANYONE, no matter their status has the same access to the web. That means that if I start a website tomorrow, it will be transported around the web with the same speed as Facebook, the ISP's own home page, Apples iTunes, CNN or someone's homepage.
This means I get the same breaks. This is REVOLUTIONARY about the web. BEFORE the web, the only way to be published big was to publish big. ONLY the largest newspapers could afford to distribute cross country, nevermind distribute globally. With the internet, MY website can be accessed ANYWHERE!
This allows me to compete. Imagine if Myspace had simply been able to buy special access. If ISP's could demand of every website a fee to be distributed like with Cable TV. Can't pay the fee? Then you don't get on their network. How was Facebook to startup then? How can you start a new tv network without millions in backing and the lockin that brings?
How CAN I start a new news network that broadcasts to every home independent of the powers that be if I need the powers that be to pay for the access?
If you don't get this, if you think it is about copyright infringement then you are the person who wanted presses banned because it allowed books to be owned by poor people. Either you are too stupid to get freedom, or you hate freedom.
There is no middle ground in this. You can't put restrictions on who can access a media and expect everyone to be able to use it. Unless of course you think only those with enough money should have a voice.
What the press did for political freedom, the internet is doing a thousand times over. But then, if you take your freedom for granted, or worse are willing to sell it, then I suppose none of this means anything.
Perhaps you are not a troll after all. There are worse things then trolls. People who do not value freedom. A willing slave.
Check who those keys belong to. Not exactly the Intels of this world and yet even being Intel protecting a very valuable key that the content industry relies on, isn't enough to protect it.
See, you fall exactly into the trap the parent talks about. "Ooh, it must be complex, it must be a conspiracy!"
Lets face it, Apple with a bite out of it might be a clever logo but it is hardly going to get "Awh's" from the girls is it. And the windows logo? Most people don't even know what it is. Those who know fear to mention it afraid of any linkage between broken windows, the fragility of glass and MS software.
But Linux, we got the tuxedoed one. And every single time penguins are in the news, we can link it to linux. And giant killer penguins are awesome things!
Oh yeah, I forgot the BSD people. A naked underaged devil. Least said...
Your arguments sound and awfull lot like people who argue 9/11 was a government plot. Why do they argue this? Because they are afraid and can't deal with a world were a random group of individuals can do such a complex thing.
This is especially amazing as a story running at the same time is about the leaked Intel key. And of course the ongoing story of the PS3 being cracked.
Random individuals are a lot more resourceful then some people are willing to give them credit for. But blaming a shadow government for it is far easier to cope with because that means at least someone is in charge. In control.
Those "stolen" certificates also mean nothing. They get "leaked" all the time. Case in point, the Intel key, which was a LOT more valuable then the keys in this worm.
As for hackers knowing about Siemens... that is so easy and trivial to explain I hard find it worth the effort. But it is PUBLIC knowledge who supplies Iran with its tools. Export bans and all make sure everything has to be declared.
No, I look deeper and look at the fact this worm was so quickly discovered and so handily easily decoded with all these handy clues pointing to Iran's enemies. Mmm, a virus outbreak in Iran that nobody else notices, spreads uncontrollably yet then is near instantly dissected and points towards Iran's standard scape goats.
Gosh, how convenient.
Zero day exploits are a dime a dozen, smart people the same. This is just a worm that worked its magic in a mono-culture. The moment I start thinking "government conspiracy" is when someone reveals anything about the data transferred.
WHY would Israel do this? They got far better methods available. And they don't need to disable a windows PC of a nuclear reactor office workers. They got reliable aircraft to do that that send a far stronger message. They got plenty of experience with it.
There are plenty of Nazi films, but NOT in Israel.
This game about the iron curtain is in Germany. Perhaps they have stronger feelings about it then an American?
How would an American feel about a TRUE colonization game? One were mass slaughter of the natives and slavery are put on the foreground? Funny how those important elements of American history did NOT make it into the game. Wonder why?
Germany is still split over the unification. It has got the western half an absolute fortune, the eastern half is still a backwards part of the country where old certainties have been replaced with new uncertainties. Racism sky rocketted. This game is not what is wanted because the entire german ruling elite is playing a game of "don't rock the boat". You might have been following the news of a new party being formed. Same kind of party that is changing the system in Holland, Denmark, Sweden, France, Belgium. The most stable economies of the EU are showing great signs of trouble and nobody seems to have a clue how to deal with it.
This game is NOT wanted. That is a very good sign that it is needed however. Showing both sides of a war isn't always easy, but it can be essential if you want to understand why the "bad" side is the way it is. Just people, doing what they were told. Gosh, the Germans sure don't have a history with that. Eastern germany has never dealt with. There are millions of Germans who believe they are VICTIMS... yeah, it is not like Germany did anything to deserve its treatments post WW2.
And if you don't deal with that full history... well you get Japan and east Germany.
Except that stock speculation has NOTHING to do with investment anymore. Wall street does NOT invest, it speculates. It is gambling on the minute by minute perceived loss and gains in the world with a hefty amount of making events happen.
Take the recent event of a speculator simply buying up chocolate to drive up the price. What has that got to do with investment or making money go around? Nothing at all.
You have the idea that the stock market is still the old idea of buying a share in a ships voyage when this was first made official in Holland centuries ago.
Yes, if you buy shares in a company hoping to get dividend from it in the future, then you are investing. When you are shorting stocks on the difference in value over a period of minutes, that is NOT investment.
This argument keeps coming up. That somehow, when you pay MS for their "software" you get Bill Gates at your beg and call, ready to deliver an emergency patch at your request.
For normal business, this is far from the case. MS doesn't even know you exist, HP or Dell is your point of contact. You would have to buy MS software worth millions of dollars to get them to notice you and even then, support is far from snappy. With open source I have had routine contact with the lead developers over the years.
And as for sane business men just buying off SCO and the like. Eh, no. That is exactly what did NOT happen. A hint to this might have been that SCO went bankrupt. There were a handful of payoffs and they could all be traced back to MS backing. And even that wasn't enough.
A SANE business man knows that if you start paying of left and right you will soon be out of business.
In fact a sane business man will look at this license and stay the FUCK away from it unless he was paying payed to get close to it. Why? Because apparantly, MS is willing to SUE people who it thinks don't pay it enough. So if next year you decide to dumb MS as your tech partner, will they then turn around and sue?
Go ahead, come into my house. I promise you that if you come into my house, I won't kill you... why are you running away?
It is MULTIPLE Netherlands (lowlands). You might also know of the country name Holland? WRONG. Holland is just two provinces in The Netherlands. North and South Holland. The various provindes joined up and became The Netherlands. Sort of like Great Britain or indeed the USA.
Russia and Spain are organized as "simple" countries. There is only ONE Russia and ONE Spain.
Oh for the sake of math. Grow UP.
What is the cost of putting out a fire?
Super entitlement, you sure are entitled to it.
In Rwanda millions killed. So because a very large group did it, it is okay?
I think I found a flaw in your "bloke in a pub" idea.
So, the US and NL and BE and DE etc governments have NOT sought out such control over the domains for their countries BUT this means nothing to you. That LY HAS sought out the control and uses it, is just the same as western countries NOT seeking such control and not using it.
An Islam-apologist, you are doing it great.
Sorry, "Bunnies on a plane" is copyrighted by the Playboy company. Our sexy lawyers will be around shortly to give you a thorough debriefing!
There that should scare those slashdotters in submissions
Stop pretending that it is.
As in The United States.
