Much credit to him, for finding something that hadn't been done, and doing it, but it's still more fun for me to imagine him bouncing across a field. : )

What interests me, is how he managed to accelerate up to the 360 kph mark, and slow back down, without the sharp sudden stop that I associate with skydiving. (C'mon you know you saw him bouncing along a field until he smacked into an old hardwood)
I play the firearmsmod for halflife... and I clan with [PoP]. While I admit we're nowhere near a group of average on-line gamers (Average Age is 30.5 I believe) we do have a husband wife team playing shoot-em ups.
But, men, note this lesson well. Not only do women camp incredibly well, they're much better at gloating than we are. : )

Fair enough, didn't know you had such a personal stake in it. I'd still take the problems listed of the wind/solar/X power over current soloutions... I was under the impression that he reached that speed horizontally.
Diagonally that's a good bit less impressive. Anyone know what Terminal Velocity in freefall is offhand?
