Speculation about carrier based on the frequencies is at best guesswork, because new radios can be swapped into the design very easily. Most radio chipset manufacturers can give you a radio with the same pin-outs and die size for any flavor of cell system you want to talk to, and the programming interfaces are all standardized as well.

It could be on sprint tomorrow if they wanted.

Bluetooth is holding down the Geek factor? lol

Android works differently when it comes to App footprint management.Only the critical piece goes on the ROM, the app data stays on the sdcard.

I have a mytouch android phone it has a 512MB of ROM space. I have more than 100 apps installed and still 96MB of space left. I hardly see this is as a problem.

Windows might be bloated, take up resources but an "operating system" is no good if it can't operate all of your hardware. Microsoft is soo good at enabling other companies to write drivers for them, I know it's not because of their technical prowess but because of their army of marketing people. In the end I don't care how they got to that point. Sayinng non-windows OSes are great has merit but only in a very limited context.

Multi-core can be useful with existing programmin models. Imagine getting rid of the context switcher forever and executing threads/processes on a new core every time an application is launched or a thread is spawned. The OS can incorporate a Core manager similar to a memory manager.

This is an effective method as long as the processor is able to manage its load properly internally.

i.e if a processor has say 100 cores..with a combined processing capacity per unit time of Z and there are X threads and the processing capacity of 1 core per unit time is Y XY must always equal Z. The challenge is how do u manage Core loads within the CPU, if Intel can solve that uber multi can really take off.
